No, that tariff tracks wholesale prices and changes on a daily basis.DeletedUser said:Is this the correct tariff all us ex Avro's are going to be on? (Prices are shown for a postcode in the southern region)

            Latest Octopus update:
We have now emailed all current Avro Energy customers to let them know we are taking over their supply. If you haven't received an email, please check your junk folders.

Our pricing promise: Your Avro tariff will come to an end on the 26th of September at the point the company ceased trading. We will get in touch with all Avro customers soon to inform them about new rates and charges, but will move customers onto our Flexible Octopus tariff, £10 below the price cap. This is currently cheaper than anything available from any other large supplier and cheaper than the fixed prices we're currently offering new customers on our website.

They are putting Avro customers on a Cap - £10 tariff that will be revised in April 2022 in line with the Ofgem Cap.

I don't care if I'm in debt, that is their problem.LippyDoodle said:
So why stop your dd if you think it's going to take sometime to switch? If that happens you could find your in debt.
I've still got the money, so I can pay it when they ask.

The message I received from octopus says it's a better deal than available on their web site.DeletedUser said:I do hope its SVT or better, Octopus website quote for my usage:- £2,253
They clearly are willing to take a hit to grow the business. If anyone can undercut them at all they will have spent out a load of money to get customers that will leave them again in droves (which I assume is what happened on the Yorkshire Energy to Scottish Power transition).

            Octopus update:
If you usually get the Warm Home Discount as part of the core group (so you don't normally apply for it but are entitled to it), you will still get it automatically from Octopus. If you usually apply for the WHD as part of the 'broader group' you will need to apply with Octopus Energy. Please don't do this yet - we will contact all customers soon, when your account is set up, with instructions on how to do this. All WHD credits will be applied to your account by 31 March 2022.

That's good to know. The current rules say that the core group have to be with the paying supplier on the 4th July 2021 to get the credit by 31st March 2022. If you'd left your supplier before the payment date, usually you'd get a cheque from them.oliverbrown said:Octopus update:

This could have been an issue for some core group members as they were essentially forcibly moved to Octopus, and Avro won't exist to send a cheque.
As an aside, Avro always paid on the last possible day though Octopus claim they usually pay earlier.0

Guarantee OCT will still be more expensive
I advise everyone to look for other tariffs now (dont have to switch yet) but look around. They will end up shafting us0
