Octopus Energy takes on Avro customers

I have my SMETS 1 meter set to give me daily readings in 30 minute segments, which I download. I still have to give gas readings though and I sometimes put in an electric reading.
Since the 26/9/21 I have only used 293 kWh of electric and 116 kWh of gas, my mother was frugal with electric and gas but I beat her as the 63 days of electric equates to 4.65 kWh per day electric & 1.84 kWh per day gas.Someone please tell me what money is0 -
Final Avro bill appeared on my Octopus account... all readings are as I put them in so all looks fine to me. Balance transferred to Octopus. See what happens when I submit my monthend readings tomorrow. Looks like the system worked for me!0

The question I have is...As Octopus are now reading my SMETS1 meters, do I need to submit manual meter readings in order to generate a bill? or will this happen automatically on a given date in the month?I don't know if this helps but I've come across this in their FAQ'S however I can find nowhere on the Octopus system where the "chosen" day mentioned can be chosen by the customer?
It's been a little while since I've received a statement, what should I do?
Rather than sending monthly statements, we create your statements based on your meter readings. Just submit a reading and you'll get a bill, generally within 48 hours. If you haven’t received a bill for some time, try submitting a meter reading online and we’ll generate one for you.
If you have a smart meter we're connected to, we'll send you a bill automatically each month on your chosen day.If you have a connected smart meter, or you've submitted a reading, but still haven’t received your bill, please get in touch and we’ll look into it.

Just typed my meter readings in and it re-calculated my balance straight away and it is almost exactly in line with what I had worked out in advance.
But Oh my - that's a pretty penny for one week's cold weather.
Obviously I knew it was coming, but quite a surprise when you actually see the first bill. I think many will be struggling to stay warm if we have a bad winter.
BTW does anyone know the calculation Octopus use to turn gas units into Kwh?
I think it's called something like calorific value, can't seem to find it on their site anywhere.0 -

I think it's called something like calorific value, can't seem to find it on their site anywhere.I haven't seen an Octopus statement yet, but if it's like all other suppliers I've used, it is shown on the statement. Only the CV (Calorific Value) can change, and even then it's only by a tenth or two, and makes no more than a few pence difference to a typical domestic monthly bill. The CV changes daily by region, so they can't show it on their website, as they average it out for each billing period. If you really want to see the daily values, go to http://mip-prd-web.azurewebsites.net/DataItemExplorer/Index, expand calorific value then select your region, enter the dates you're interested in and you will get the relevant daily values.

We are a high usage family as there are 4 adults in the household and I don’t skimp on heating.0 -
My balance with Avro was £23 in credit, Octopus have taken my DD of £100, my balance is now £75 debit.
So two months energy just under £200, not good, but what I expected.Don't wait for your ship to come in, swim out to it.0 -
Reading a lot of comments from people saying they've now got their avro bill and credit transferred, nothing for me as of yet 😥0
