If it's made by another company it may never work as a smart meter until the mythical software upgrade happens to allow it.Hardly mythical...Over 6 million SMETS1 meters adopted so far, and about 10 million to go.

chrisw said:I have to say, I'm rather impressed. .As am I - Avro credit transferred along with the two DD payments taken after 26 Sept before I cancelled it and set up one with Octopus.I had no doubt it would all work out but expected the odd glitch. Well done all concerned.

My credit showed on Octo yesterday and so I put in the latest readings.
Immediately the credit reduced as they took what was owed on the gas usage.
There is no bill yet but it shows the amount used and the payment taken.
Electricity unchanged and not assessed yet.
So far so good with Octo.1 -
Just sent a gas and electric reading in. My balance went from £219cr down to £78 which I expected after deducting usage etc. But just happened to go into old dashboard and it says £31.80? Wonder what the £47 difference is and which is the correct balance?0

What's the split of the £141 (£219-£78) between gas and electric? My own opinion for whats it's worth but from what I've seen so far I would probably tend to believe what I see on the old dashboard over the new dashboard which to all intents and purposes appears to be an unfinished project.Of course it might just be a simple case that both dashboards haven't caught up with each other. When the statement is produced and available for download you will have your answer.0

The difference between the old and new dashboard is obviously the gas £45.29 that hasn't yet been applied on the new dashboard.1
