I'm one of the few thousand still waiting for my details to be transferred from Avro to Octopus. I did log in to my Octopus account the other day just to see what's there but all it had was my name and some sort of code. No address, meter number or anything else.
  • Account number, perhaps?
It might be a good idea, at this stage, to contact Octopus to make sure they are aware of you.

Mine was 12th and certainly not left my bank...yet they applied in Oct to my bank.

If it goes through for you can you tell me if it shows on your account dashboard!!
My first payment to Octopus left my account today as they said it would. Not showing on my dashboard yet as they said it could take up to 4 days to clear and show on my account. Will update mse when it appears.
It shows as 'Pending' on the Octopus account page for a couple of days before it's added to your balance.
Thanks for the info. It does indeed say pending.

Mine was originally like that and I could not set up a direct debit as it came up with an error. I then received an email from Octopus on 20th Oct and looked at my account and the address was on there. I then tried to set up a dd which I was able to do. Although my dd with Avro was on 21st of the month no payment taken in Oct as it takes time to set up with the bank. I had cancelled the Avro DD when they folded so no payment went out In Oct so I made a manual one to Octopus at beginning Nov.

Well it is over 26 days ( accepting week ends in this) since Octopus approached my bank for DD to go though and still they have taken no payment, today I read on this thread that they have taken payments from others....I am so glad I cancelled the Avro DD the minute they ceased trading - I understand Octopus have taken on a bigger task and looks like more troublesome than they thought - but drawing a DD is a established task and yet they have this wrong......yep I am starting to worry.
If you have given them your DD details the money will go out on the same date as the Avro DD.
Someone please tell me what money is

That seems to be what people who were in mid-switch to Avro at the time of their collapse see, me included.

Same for me.  I had started the swtich from Outfox the Market to Avro about a week before Avro ceased trading.  I have over £400 of credit with Outfox, which as I understand it won't automatically be carried over to Octopus (because it hasn't been carried over to Avro, because they ceased trading before it could happen).  I'm now very concerned that if Outfox go belly up I'm going to be seriously out of pocket with no recourse.  I've asked Outfox for a refund but my bet is that until the final bill is sorted out they won't do anything, and according to Octopus that could take a few more weeks yet.

Outfox have six weeks after switchover date to produce a final bill, and 10 working days after that to refund any credit. Before that, there's nothing that can be done.

Thankyou.  My concern is that I'm going to fall down a gap if Outfox cease trading before they have refunded me.  If I were switching directly from them to Octopus then Octopus would be obliged to honour my credit with Outfox, but because I went partially via Avro then as far as I can tell I have no protection.

My own understanding is that all credit balances are fully protected in all instances.
