Octopus Energy takes on Avro customers

It looks like Octopus might have painted themselves into a corner with their advice not to cancel Avro DDs. Even as they get further readings from ex-Avro customers, how can they bill them for utilities they have actually used without a starting balance or payments that may have gone to Avro or their administrators? It must be killing their cashflow!

All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

It's all starting to stink a bit. There have been quite a few posted comments from those who were denied by their banks citing the business failure as the reason. You'd have to search for them, but they are certainly there. There is also the fact that regardless of the business failure, you can't just get a DD reversed because you changed your mind, it does need an error to have occurred that qualifies under the DD guarantee. It is specifically not to be used to settle contractual disputes for example...

We’ve worked on 3 ‘supplier of last resort’ processes before - Iresa, Gen4u and GoEffortless. It is unusual for this (in our experience) to have taken so long, but each administrator is different and so has different processes they like to follow.
I see they're having another dig at the administrators0 -
Are Avro DDs still being taken?0

Considering further, I think my own payments are not in potential dispute as this relates to "treatment of the monies collected in the period between Octopus being appointed as Supplier of Last Resort and the Administrator being appointed by the Courts".
This, I believe, relates to the three-day period between 26 September 2021 and 29 September 2021.0
