Octopus Energy takes on Avro customers

Octopus should have taken the DD as was linked 16 days prior to my expected and requested payment date - just got confirmation of this. So even giving then 10 working days there is a problem somewhere and as of today they still have not drawn it.
Email to them next.......
Can I locate the reading sent of 28th September on Avro site!!!0 -
oliverbrown said:I just see "You are paying a variable amount depending on your usage". Presumably this is because Avro have yet to tell Octopus what my Avro DD was set up at.The sensible option for you would be to cancel the Avro direct debit with your bank to prevent further payments to Avro and setup a new direct debit via your Octopus Dashboard.Doing that would at least ensure that the money is being paid direct to Octopus and not stuck with Avro's administrators for an unknown period of time before it finally gets transferred to Octopus which, according to a recent post on here, may or may not be until after the New Year with no definite specified date.

If I try to view previous meter reading history on Avro's main website https://www.avroenergy.co.uk/ it just refuses to load. If I try to enter a meter reading on Avro's main website it currently showsOops! We're currently waiting on your meter details from industry. This can take up to 7 days. The meter readings section on Avro's old website https://assets.avroenergy.co.uk/Default.aspx is completely blank. This may possibly suggest that Avro's administrators haven't a clue what they're doing!

They don't do any recalculation for you based on their prices. When you setup the Direct Debit via your Octopus Dashboard it should have brought forward your existing Avro Direct Debit monthly amount and collection date. At that point it's up to you to decide how much per month you want to pay. In view of the increased prices it will usually be more than your Avro amount unless you have built up a large credit balance with Avro. You just need to do a simple calculation to work out your gas and electricity costs based on your estimated annual consumption figures add them together and divide by 12 to arrive at a monthly Direct Debit amount. You can change your Direct Debit amount and collection date at any time via the Octopus Dashboard. If you didn't specify an amount how would Octopus know how much to collect which is probably why nothing was collected?
