I've heard zilch from Octy re moving to them from Avro. I did cancel my dd to avro though, maybe this is why?
Do you think it's worth emailing or just continue to sit tight?0 -

"We're expecting Avro's administrators to issue the final bill for any energy you used before September 26 over the next few weeks. Once it's available, you'll find it in the usual spot on the Avro website - it'll also be available a few days after that in your new Octopus online account.
If your account is in credit once your final bill has been issued, we'll automatically transfer that over to your new Octopus account as well.
You're on Flexible Avro, our always great-value variable tariff."

As someone who was mid switch to Avro at the time of their collapse I have never seen any information on the Avro Dashboard page, and the facility to submit readings to Avro has never worked. However, today it is showing my current balance, last payment, and next statement date.
Reading submission is still broken, but I am hoping this is an indication that soon my opening reading will finally be pushed to my old supplier so that they can close the account.

Hello Ex Avro customers. I have just received some news that I am now with Octopus and that they are expecting me to pay about 25p per day standing charge for both gas and electricity so about 50p a day in total. This is a lot! I work away a lot and don't want to pay so much. Also, they want me to pay £150 a month when I was paying £60 and I also had £600 quid in credit with Avro that I was fighting to get back. Just not very impressed so far. Anyone know if this is a normal amount for standing charges and does anyone know if there are cheaper ones out there? Any info welcome!0

Any info welcome! The standing charges look to be about right, and you won't get anything very different from any other supplier using a capped variable tariff. For the monthly payment it really is all down to what your actual annual use is likely to be, do you have those figures available?

Not sure if I should be cancelling my Avro DD (last payment went out 15th Oct) and setting up a new Octopus one?
Or will the Octopus one be done for me and I should just leave it all alone?
I don’t want another DD going to Avro on the 15th Nov (I was also about a month in credit with Avro) and then Octopus also wanting money off me at the same time if I can help it!Cheers, Stu0 -

Work out how much energy you think you`ll use on the new Octo tariff and set up a new DD with them.
They let you choose an amount and also the date of the month when they collect it.2
