I seem to be the most expensive compared to the last 3 or 4 quoted. In Hampshire:

    Your prices (including VAT) are:

    • A standing charge of 24.11p per day and 20.49p/kWh for your electricity.
    • A standing charge of 26.11p per day and 4.13p/kWh for your gas.

The Southern region is priced slightly below the national average for electricity and slightly above the average for gas.

Given that my monthly standing charges for gas and electric were around £5 for each with Avro, my bills with Octopus will be huge. Wondering if Octopus will change my tariff or will need to shop around instead. I think I have the highest rates so far - anyone beat this? This is not so great-value for me... :(

You're on Flexible Avro, our always great-value variable tariff.

    Your prices (including VAT) are:

    • A standing charge of 25.08p per day and 20.40p/kWh for your electricity.
    • A standing charge of 26.11p per day and 4.00p/kWh for your gas

    Mine are
26.45p standing charge and 20.01p kWh for electric
26.14p standing charge and 3.91p kWh for gas

My standing charges with Avro were 16.8p per day or £5.21 per month for each utility.
Someone please tell me what money is

northern here. I cancelled my Avro DD and had plenty of credit.

You're on Flexible Avro, our always great-value variable tariff.

    Your prices (including VAT) are:
    • A standing charge of 24.38p per day and 19.95p/kWh for your electricity.
    • A standing charge of 26.11p per day and 4.00p/kWh for your gas.
I didn't cancel mine but created an Avro account and it said I needed to set up a DD, when I did this it just transferred the amount I was paying Avro to the same amount in the Octopus account, £48 per month, plus I am due £171 credit so it will easily be enough until I decide what to do once things are sorted.
Someone please tell me what money is

Can't beat it as mine are exactly the same.

  • 1st hiccup.
Old E7 meter meter readings has tripped up things and now trying to keep off the e7 tariff.

That's an increase of £67 p.a. just in standing charges.

The Octopus account is set up and the landing page is saying 'opening meter reading due'.

The thing is Octopus asked for meter readings on the 29th of September to 'help with a smooth transition' which I provided. Wondering whether to add them again on the octo account or wait and see what happens when account is fully set up with financials

I messaged them to ask the same question and they came back saying it’s reading from 26th September they wanted. I too have given to them before but I have entered them again

I gave them two readings one from the 23rd Sept and one on the 26th Sept which was from a meter reading I did on the 25th Sept. I am waiting to see how much my final bill will be from Avro.

Just checked my bank account nd see that Avro have taken another DD 2 days ago dispite me being in credit for the readings sent on 28th sept.
Hope I dont have to pay twice for the energy used this month. Feel I should hace canceled the DD.

A payment was taken from my current a/c on 20 Oct - not by Avro but by "PSL re Avro Energy" I guess PSL are (or are working on behalf of) the administrators. This payment is now included in the "current balance" on my Avro account, and when the administrators are finished, will be transferred to my Avro a/c
