Octopus Energy takes on Avro customers

Just got this a while ago from Octopus so fair play with regards to communication-
''Thank you for getting in touch.
Also, thanks for letting us know regarding your switch of suppliers prior to Avro's cease of trading. In this regard, any debit or credit on accounts prior to Octopus Energy taking initially becomes the responsibility of the Administrator appointed by Avro. We will work to secure a good outcome for current customers with balances but cannot confirm any plans until the administrators of Avro agree. If you changed prior to the 26th of September, your final bill will likely be issued by Avro and we will work with the administrators so this process is as smooth as possible.
We have sent this email out to all Avro customers to inform them of our responsibility for your information moving forward. Prior to sending this, we did not have access to see who has left or not, As we have further information on who has left we will be able to remove your email from our contact list.
Over the coming weeks, either we or the administrators will be back in touch with you but if this information still doesn’t look right, please get back in touch. Please let me know if you need anything else or have any further questions.
Have a pleasant weekend and take care.''1 -
I switched to AVRO from EDF on September 24th, 1st DD taken on the 15th. Was unable to provide meter readings so still waiting for EDF to issue final bill! Incidentally, EDF also took a DD in September: Still waiting to hear from Octopus - unable to log in or set up an account. Have just emailed Octopus seeking clarification - hopefully, just taking time rather than an actual problem but would like it sorted!0

I wonder when people who were in mid-switch to Avro at the time of their collapse will be emailed. At this point it seems possible Octopus will wait until the last last person's switch is finished so that they can treat them all as a single entity rather than one which is growing in dribs and drabs. That is still some days off though.

Had the email informing we are being moved from Octopus, submitted meter readings as requested, and set up standing order. Checking this morning i see we now apear to have a Avro Online Account, web site looks ok, but there is no mention at all how much monthly payments are going to be, or when they start. Octopus was not my choice to move to i wanted to move to one of the bigger suppliers, i did think of swapping but its to bloody stressful. Anyone heard how much they are going to pay a month, we were paying Avro £75,and had a credit balance of £160 just before they ceased trading, so expecting the new payments to double.0

Why set up a DD at the moment? Do we even know how much the will charge for the DD let alone our TARRIFF. I suggest wait it out, submit readings but nothing else0
