What I don't get is for a right wing paper, why they are so anti capitalism?

    Email update today....

We’re already working with Avro Energy’s technology partners to get your switch underway. We’re awaiting the official appointment of the administrators before we can work with the Avro team directly, and agree on the process for both credit and debt balances. All credit balances are guaranteed and protected by Ofgem’s safety net.

You’re switching to our always-good-value variable tariff, Flexible Octopus. It’s priced £10 cheaper than the Ofgem Price Cap for the typical home, and cheaper than anything available from any other large supplier today — and cheaper than the fixed prices we’re currently able to offer new customers on our own website. It has no exit fees, so you’re always in control.

We’ll send a full breakdown of your rates and charges shortly. If you’d like to read our full terms and conditions, you’ll find them on our website.

Finally, if you’d like to choose a different energy supplier, we currently expect that should be possible from the end of November.

  • I've had an email from Octopus with a link to a new Avro page to enter meter readings - I'm assuming this is for people who haven't been able to enter readings on Avro's site. I managed to enter meter readings on Avro's site on the 26th. Do I need to re-submit the readings using the new link to the new Avro page provided by Octopus?

I asked myself the same question after receiving the same email and concluded I would send the same readings I sent to Avro on the 26/09, could be right, could be wrong but I'm sure it will all 'iron itself out' within the next few weeks

Looks like you were right as Octopus' update today said this:

"We will today and tomorrow be sending a second email, asking for you to give us your meter readings. If you've already sent them to us, please input them again if you can, as up to now we didn't have access to Avro's technology partners to store them."

Is the page to input meter readings working for everyone? (The one linked in the email.)

I just get a message saying "Sorry, something has gone wrong" after pressing Save Readings.

And me, Re-entered reading I gave to Avro from 26/09 which I think? is what they want. Not in any rush to set up new DD with just under £300 in credit I've currently got.

I'm sure Octopus won't forget to bill me  :)
I took a reading on the 23rd after reading about them folding in the papers, I could get all my bills off the site plus my credit balance. That is the reading I gave this morning.
Someone please tell me what money is
