It is little comfort I know, but Octopus Energy UK has been using customer services provided by Octopus Energy NZ to support ex Avro customers overnight.2

anyone else in the same boat?
Avro weren't due to start supplying until the 4th
I'm switching (or was) from outfox from a vari rate to a fixed with avro, to mitigate some current and future price increases.
I've since asked outfox to cancel the switch, online chat were not helpful, Rudy, but avro welcome letter says i could cancel the switch up to last saturday 25th sept, i'd contacted outfox a few times before that date, telling them to cancel, no news so far, despite them complaining i had cancel their DD as well, told them was happy to reinstate the DD if they kept me as a customer, I'm well in credit... so got everything crossed.... yes evertything!
cant believe that octopus standing charge value??? #wow...
energy market has gone mad, all because the tories in 2017 would not support maint of the BG offshore rough storage for bulk LPG, it could store up to 70% of the UK use of gas0 -
I've still not been contacted by Octopus about taking over the account....0

UPDATE 10PM SUNDAY 26 SEPT.
We have now emailed all current Avro Energy customers to let them know we are taking over their supply. If you haven't received an email, please check your junk folders.
You can contact Octopus Energy at hello@octopus.energy0 -
I was told by EDF on Saturday I wasn’t moving to Avro / Octopus I’ve now been told by them I am moving and due to move tomorrow, so I gather I should take meter readings for my final EDF bill (I’m £71 in credit) not that I’ve had any correspondence from anyone. EDF said I should hear something in the next coming weeks. Honestly what a mess!

Moved from Octopus to Avro last year. Since the recent news, I tried logging into my old Octopus account - which worked. Added bonus was my Octopus account was £188 in credit since August 2020...Looks like Octopus had taken a DD in August after I had switched away in July 2020.I think I have been a little too trusting...lesson learnt.Hopefully I see my £584 credit from Avro transferred across...0

I was supposed to have Avro taking over supply on 1 October and so far have heard nothing from anyone. I’m assuming the switch is continuing for the moment (although I hope it isn’t at this point as I’d rather get the £50 credit for a referred switch to Octopus). Just have to sit on my hands and wait, based on this thread…1
