actually i've just checked the supplier from whom i switched to avro and they did the same thing with my final reading.

please could somebody tell me if it is usual practice for suppliers to increase the final reading so that they eseentially get to keep more money or if something else is at play?

Final readings go through a third-party validation process. sometimes this results in them being revised up or down. Both suppliers have to put up with this. The "old" supplier gets no influence over it.

Nope. I don't have one either and I've been with Octopus before.

I switched to Avro about 4 months ago, is it worth inflating my readings so I pay more more on the fixed avro rate rather than octopus rates?
