Octopus Energy takes on Avro customers

My switch from EDF to Avro went live the day before Avro ceased trading and I had just given them opening readings. So far I have had no emails from Octopus (yes, I've checked my Junk folder).
My daughter who has been an Avro customer for a year has had several emails including one asking for meter readings.0 -
Nothing happens immediately in the domestic energy sector. Accounts can take up to 4 weeks to be set up. This is the latest advice from Octopus:psul said:My switch from EDF to Avro went live the day before Avro ceased trading and I had just given them opening readings. If you think you are an Avro customer, and haven't heard from us, or you were in the middle of switching to Avro and haven't heard from us, please don't worry. You won't be left without power at any time - we are still getting full access to Avro's systems and may not have come across you yet. Please email us on avro@octopus.energy and we will investigate.

Yeah, me too. So far this is far an order of magnitude better than the YE to Scottish Power transition.half_empty said:Just had an email to set up DD and re enter readings with a new link to avro. I was away when they first asked, entered this am on the old site but thought why not on the new link.
We'll see if they manage to keep it up

And me, Re-entered reading I gave to Avro from 26/09 which I think? is what they want. Not in any rush to set up new DD with just under £300 in credit I've currently got.
I'm sure Octopus won't forget to bill me

Oh no not another one my hubby all for sending readings but not in any rush to set up direct debit....he insisted he was cancelling it said he wanted a bill sent.

I'm not against setting up a new DD and I know I will have to at some stage but I just don't feel the need to rush it and I'm not insisting a bill be sent to me before I pay. As an aside you should know that us hubby's are smart cookies, we always know what's rightVegastare said:Thesaltmustflow said:And me, Re-entered reading I gave to Avro from 26/09 which I think? is what they want. Is there any financial difference in supplying Octopus with an up-to-date meter reading as opposed to one from 26/9?

No idea but Octopuss put an update up that may explain it. I am just playing their game as they are taking me over and don't want a hiccup.Geoff_W said:Is there any financial difference in supplying Octopus with an up-to-date meter reading as opposed to one from 26/9?
