    My Avro rate for electric has gone up 40%, gas by 54% and the daily charges are up by 57.5% with Octopus.
    Someone please tell me what money is

    You want to really depress yourself look at the current Octopus fixes available.
    The Flexible Avro tariff has increased the annual cost for an account I look after by 42%
    That same usage on the current 12M Fixed tariff would be 172% above the old Avro tariff. :(

  • deefadog said:  re smart meters, I had dumb BT ones and within days of my Octo account going live I had a message flashed up on my online screen offering SMETS2 meters for free... ordered it and fitted within 7 days.  All up and working now.  Maybe worth dropping them a line if you can't see anything.  Whilst I'm not a Twitter fan, they respond very quickly to Twitter messages ... hope this helps!

    My BG SMETS 1 meter works perfectly with Octopus giving me 30 minute readings of the electric the day after it's used. My IHD got waterlogged in 2015/16 so I don't get messages.

    Are there people out there who are still awaiting a final bill from Avro (Octopus) and like me are getting no response despite submitting readings and sending polite emails?

    From earlier reports on here, Octopus can't really do much until they get the final bill from Avro to determine a starting point for billing from Octopus. You seem to be one of the more unfortunate ones and will just need to be patient for (hopefully) only a little longer.

    I can go one better, Octopus haven't even added my meters to my Octopus account yet.
  • I was a Outfox the Market customer who transferred to Avro, however before the transfer date which was the 1 October they went bust. I phoned Octopus who stated I was their customer on the 7 December. I gave them meter readings for that date. They told me they are waiting the final meter readings from Avro. They told me from the 1 October till the 6 December that I was a Avro customer. They also told me they will bill me for those dates, I asked as I was a Avro customer would I be charged the Avro rate or their rate, I was told it would be the Avro rate by one adviser and I don’t know by another. Do anyone out there know?

    Avro Energy entered administration and all Avro customers were moved on 26 September onto the Octopus Flexible Avro tariff which is £10 below the energy cap until 1 April 2022.  So you should be on the same tariff.
