Haven't had anything offocial from BG but the tariff details linked above say the end date is on 30 Apr 2022... so my money is either then, or 01 Apr when the price cap increase kicks in.0 -
Thanks, I'd seen that. I imagine they'll increase on 1st April, but am a bit surprised that they've not notified customers of the new tariff and rates yet.PRAISETHESUN said:

They really shouldn't increase it from 1 April as the current tariff doesn't end until 30 April and their own terms state that they will give 30 days notice of changes. As far as I can tell, none of us have had any notice of a price increase yet, so they would be in breach of their own terms.Stompa said:

Screenshot above showing the term that they will give 30 days notice. So far I've had no notice of an increase in the tarriff.February wins: Theatre tickets1 -
Somewhat off topic .... I notice that on my Clearscore credit report that the British Gas has disputed their own balance - well, I assume it was BG, coming on the heels of their bill generation hokey cokey, as I haven't raised a dispute.
I'm also assuming this has no knock on impact on me.......Fashion on the Ration 2025 46/660 -
So I recently got my PFP credit put on my account (£276) along with the final bill letter arriving. I had previously cleared my debit to date on BG (about £1000).
Looking online today, the bills page for the bills of 26 Nov, 24th Jan, 11th Mar are all showing as 'Bill cancelled & replaced'
There is a bill for 15th Mar. that seems to have been paid but I am somehow still £1000 in credit!
I have no idea what is going on. I have smart meters which they are reading OK so I presume the numbers they are using are correct. Electricity (21st Oct to 23rd Jan is showing as a credit not debit!)
Need to sit down later with a big mug of tea and Excel and work out how much I have used since PFP final reads and how much I have paid, been billed and so on.0 -
I got my final bill from PFP on the 8th March, there was some weird extra line items on the last page of the bill about me being debited for not paying a bill but then also credit a few days latter. I calculated PFP owed me ~£100 when I changed to BG and that's what they've credited me.
I left BG straight away so not sure where the money has gone. I logged into my BG account and its not there. Not sure I want to speak to one of BG's offshore customer service guys again. Last time they said it wasn't there problem as it'd left BG... not worth arguing with tehm.0 -
Similar thing happened to be in the past when BG recalculated my bills based on meter readings instead of estimates. Basically until they calculate your usage, any amounts you've paid (either from your PFP credit or your actual payments to BG) are held as "credit" on your account - you have a huge credit only because they haven't re-billed you for your usage yet it seems. It's worth sitting down and calculating your own bill, to figure out if BG is likely to come chasing you for more £££, or if you should be chasing them for a refund.MidlandsGlory said:So I recently got my PFP credit put on my account (£276) along with the final bill letter arriving. Your credit from PFP is protected and you'll get it back eventually, but since you've left BG right after you were moved to them from PFP you'll be right at the bottom of the priority list - they will aim to sort out existing BG customers first. Make sure your personal details held by BG are up-to-date as odds are they'll try to send you a cheque at some point.

Some strange goings on in my BG account. My one and only bill in December was reversed yesterday and a new bill for £202 issued (there's no way I've only used that much since September).
I can't access the new bill - I get an error message. However that too has been reversed today. So I'm in a situation where I have a huge credit and haven't been billed for any usage since being transferred to BG.
Presumably this is the start of BG trying to align their opening meter reads with the PFP closing reads that I mentioned last week. They seem to be making a bit of a mess of it though.1
