I had a letter from my energy distributor to let me know that I have been added to the Priority Services Register. On having a phone chat with the distributor I've discovered that BG put me on it, off their own bat....
Is this how it works - i.e. my supplier decides? Bit odd - oh wait - it's BG ...Fashion on the Ration 2025 38/660 -

I didn't think I was THAT old!
Well, perhaps a good thing if it means that any power outage gets sorted in a timely manner. Though the PSR enquiries telephonist seemed more concerned whether or not I wanted to receive a text 24/7 re. outages.Fashion on the Ration 2025 38/660 -
I was hoping all was over and we could consider the PFP/BG SOLR process as complete but that appears to have been wishful thinking.
Over the weekend all previous bills were cancelled and replaced for some reason. I'm not the only person this has happened to but I'm still trying to get my head around how they generated the outstanding amount that came up as a result of this.
My last PFP reading/billing date is 11th September 2021 but my first BG reading/billing date is 4th October 2021 (So not sure what the situation is between those dates).
My opening reads on this revised energy statement don't match what is on my final PFP bill.
I'm at the point where I've had enough and am tempted to just pay it if it means this will be over as its not a huge amount. Not very MSE I know...0 -
BG didn't take my payment this month, no reason given. They raised a new bill covering an extra 2 weeks and now say they are taking payment for the whole lot.
It's correct as far as the amounts go, but I will lose out on the bill cashback from my 123 lite account for some of that amount, because of the fiver maximum for each category. Pennies, but they didn't explain why which is what irks me.0 -
Hi,I've had a new statement from BG this morning, this is the third for the same period, 30th Sept '21 - 24th Nov '21, when PfP was SOLR'd to BG.All have different totals, and today's even has the wrong start readings, the first two were cancelled and replaced and I expect this one to be as well, I have downloaded it, before it gets cancelled and replaced, and await next instalment.

An update from me - I've had a new bill from BG last night which I think finally closes off the SOLR debacle.
This bill is effective from 04Oct21 to 25Feb22 (so my recent BG usage isn't accounted for yet, but that's a whole other issue) and there are a few adjustments made where it explicitly breaks down the SOLR stuff. The opening meter reading uses the ones I provided to both PFP and BG so my usage is accounted for, and there is an adjustment specifically for "Supplier of Last Resort transfer period Standing Charge for 24 days", which backdates everything to 11Sep21. My PFP credit also appears as "Credit from your last supplier". Everything looks like it has been sorted now!0
