Yes I was told to ignore letter too! I was also with NR ages ago.0

I've tried to complain but as they can't find my account, they can't register a complaint against it. The incompetence is high, very high.0

I paid mine, but I do owe neon reef from before I transferred to PFP so hopefully it's not an error. I still have a £95 black hole between leaving NR and starting PFP but both seem to have issued their final bills so who knows when that will catch up with me.0

I'm clutching my head at the moment. I recently switched payment method to fixed monthly DD. I've been told by BG that the only way I can have a monthly bill generated is if I switch to a monthly variable DD.
The bill cycle for fixed monthly DD is 6 months. SIX MONTHS!
I would switch to variable monthly DD, in order to get a monthly bill generated IF I had any faith in BG to generate an accurate bill. There is no way I will give them free access to my bank account.
Every other supplier I've been with, for as long as I can remember, could generate a monthly bill and the balance was run as a debit or credit and the fixed monthly DD was adjusted periodically if necessary.
I am going to have to set up a spreadsheet and do the calcs myself. It's like going back decades in customer service.....Fashion on the Ration 2025 37/660 -
I tried that but they seem to be billing me quarterly instead. Also, they cancelled the bill for no reason and didn't replace it, and it also cancelled the bill payment.
So when they bill me next week it will be for six months of usage! Plus 200 debt from PFP.
The money is better off in my bank than theirs, but I think 6 months is a long time to not know what you owe, even if in your case you had been making direct debits. The app doesn't show usage and it doesn't let me read the cancelled bills. At present the only thing it shows me is the 200 PFP debt. It's a good job I know what to expect from 6 months usage, because I haven't paid an electric bill since may 21 and monthly costs are different now. What a mess BG might put someone else into though, if they weren't anticipating their costs.0 -
I think if I had remained on pay on receipt of bill (cash/cheque/credit card etc) BG would bill me quarterly. Last bill, (although I use that term loosely), I had from BG was upto 24/01 - though it went through quite a few reversals with the last iteration being generated on 24/03.
I'm hoping that I will have a bill generated for Feb/Mar/Apr usage which I'm happy to clear on receipt as my monthly fixed DD doesn't kick in until 1st May. If that bill could be generated on the 1st May after the April Price Promise tariff ends that would be even better. Then I can set up my spreadsheets with the SVT pay by monthly fixed DD tariff calc. and do BG's monthly bill calculation job for them.
I hope BG aren't paying their shareholders any dividends as they really should be investing upgrading their billing systems.Fashion on the Ration 2025 37/660 -
I got my bill today for more than 1k ... Ouch! I knew it was coming but still, 6 months of usage is a huge bill. They cancelled my January bill which cancelled my payment, otherwise I would be paying quarterly.
I'm going to change to monthly fixed now that everything is sorted.0 -

I am shocked at how poor their billing options are and how clunky their website is. For me it merely represents a mechanism for recording a meter reading for them, as I have a SMETS 1 meter which BG can't read - though to be fair - neither could any other supplier other than, I think, Ovo.

I am assuming we are still on the old cap rate till May 1st? As that is still showing as my current tariff. And an email shows the new cap rate that I will move onto from May. They never did update my meter reading which I gave them on 31st March via their online form which seemed to be submitted correctly. Still that doesn’t matter until the end of this month I guess. What a complete shambles BG are!

I can't even find on the BG website where they state what tariff I'm on at the moment... I can only go from the one and only bill they have produced for me (Jan 2022) - which states I'm on the Price Promise April 2022 and that this ends on 30th April 2022.
