I had an email with start date and tariff details .Stompa said:
I've not heard from BG since that email either. How did you find your switch date? As far as I can see it's not mentioned in that email or any of the earlier ones.Alpha_5 said:Has anyone heard from British Gas lately? It's been 2 weeks since they last emailed me, which was "Thanks for choosing us. Here's your contract."
Today was supposedly my switch date. I've seen some on here saying they received a request for meter readings etc; I haven't received such an email, but have submitted readings today anyway.
Thanks

You'll have had an account set up by BG automaticaly. Enter the email address that you used with Avro on the BG account login page and choose the forgetten password/password reset option.Stompa said:
But how do I log in to my BG account? I've not received any email telling me how to do so. Or do I have to download the app?deanos said:

Thanks, it didn't actually need that, my email, phone number, name and postcode were sufficient. Oddly I've now entered meter readings via both the app and the website and it's still telling me I need to enter them!Alpha_5 said:

Does anyone know if it's 'safe' to initiate a switch now both my gas and elec show BG as my provider?0 -
I was also asked for reading. Provided. All went through fine. Checked the next day (ie yesterday), asking me again. Submitted again. All went through fine. Checked today, asking again!! What is going on?Boxman said:B Gas have e-mailed asking for a meter reading. Followed the link provided, entered reading apparently successfully then got message saying 'something went wrong, please ring 0333-*****'. Did so and was told waiting time was 40 minutes. Will try again later.
Also, what happens about amounts outstanding to PFP. I wasn't in credit, and owed them just over £100. DD was cancelled, so latest bill (which was due today), was not taken by them and no word from them or BG yet about resolving this.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
The administrators of PfP will be in touch. You will need to pay any sums owing to them.euronorris said:Also, what happens about amounts outstanding to PFP. This is only my own experience of a previous SoLR... but I would say do not get too hung up on what the British Gas website does or doesn't say about switch dates, meter readings and anything else. The IT systems will be set up for normal switches, and much of the communications will be automated. SoLR transfers don't follow the same process though so the online accounts and comms can appear to miss things or be wrong.
Sit back and just let the process play out it should work out in the end. At least at the moment the slow SoLR transfer doesn't mean anyone is missing out on cheap deals elsewhere!1 -
Where can you see what the tariff rates are for the BG Price Promise Apr 2022? I am on economy 7. I have set up the account with them but apart of its name there is no actual details of this tariffs rates. Also I entered my meter readings but it still is asking for them!
Currently wished I had stayed with SP when I got moved there from Tonik and I never thought I would say that! But moving to PFP I ended up paying for the first 5 days energy twice! plus the £12 surcharge and they also increased the Standing Charge/units price with them at the end as well! And now I currently unemployed don't exactly have money to burn! But if I did at least it would keep me warm!0 -
