I just got that e-mail but I've got a smart meter. I'll try to submit tomorrow otherwise will keep waiting. Gas is not showing in the account just yet but as mentioned it might show up later .

I'm elec only with PfP; still with PfP according to my distributor. No sign of any account details from BG but have been told by BG I will be switched on the 5th. On the plus side I don't appear to have been hit with PfP's £12 debit for cancelling my DD, my last bill generated from PfP was 25/08. I'll be keeping an eye on the PfP standing charge amount used to generate the final bill.

Nothing on the British Gas site works. They've got a completely made up phone number for me but trying to correct it results in an error. Can't put in meter read. Will leave it today.0

BG say they can't read my smart meter, but it was them that installed it years ago. They've taken my reading without saying oops, but it hasn't shown up in my account yet. Does anyone know how often bg will bill us?0

Has anyone heard from British Gas lately? It's been 2 weeks since they last emailed me, which was "Thanks for choosing us. Here's your contract."
Today was supposedly my switch date. I've seen some on here saying they received a request for meter readings etc; I haven't received such an email, but have submitted readings today anyway.
Maybe my switch has been delayed. Though BG now showing as my supplier for both Gas and Elec. I'm sure they will be in touch when it's payment time anyway.0 -

Why are they asking us for a reading now if we will be charged by them from the SoLR take over date? Presumably it's just automatic and is not really useful.0
