Thanks, QrizB. That would bring the Shell fuel price close to Tesco, in my local town, not that either had any to sell, last time I was there!

I am £116 in credit with PFP and have a direct debit due to go out on 3rd October. Are they likely to try and collect it or should I cancel the DD and if I did would they likely hit me with the £12 charge0

Apologies if this has already been asked or discussed.
Was on a monthly dual fuel with PFP, so Ofgem switching me to British Gas.
24th September, contract has come through for Electricity, I've been put on a tariff called Price Promise April 2022, with a cash or cheque payment.
Heard nothing about gas yet, so I went on webchat, and was told not to worry, it was all going through. The responses felt very much like a copy and paste text, they didn't even ask for any meter numbers, I think I just had to confirm my name and address.
The person I was chatting to even said I would be on the same tariff as when I was with PFP, which kind of made me worry that they didn't actually know what they were talking about, as I really can't see that happening. The new prices they've quoted for electricity mean I will be paying more of that alone than I did for dual fuel. I questioned that and he confirmed staying on same tariff. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to request a transcript of the chat, so not holding my breath.
So, its now transfer day, and still nothing about my gas?0 -

Gas and electric transfers are rarely in synch. It is to do with the third-party verification of final meter readings. It'll catch up, eventually.Yes, everything will be a lot more expensive, wherever you go.0

It should all work itself out though. You can keep an eye on the industry "who is my supplier" databases to see how things are progressing.
All PFP customers are being transferred to the Price Promise April 2022 tariff. Thats the tariff BG and Ofgem agreed. It's at the current Ofgem price cap.
You're right in saying the BG agent is talking gibberish saying you'll stay on the same PFP tariff.0 -

Is it not the case that the SoLR (or maybe the previous supplier) honour the original tariff deal up until the official date of switching that customer's supply to the SoLR? In that case the customer is "on the same tariff" until their switch date, which may be a little way off.I'd rather be a disappointed optimist than a self-satisfied pessimist1
