Anyone not been switched to British Gas yet? I saw some people had, but looking after my mum's SoLR and her supplier is still listed as PFP.0

I'm still listed as PfP.Mind you, Green still think I'm transferring to them, in a couple of days, despite them no longer trading and having cancelled the transfer well inside the cooling-off period.0

Showing BG for Gas, but still PFP for electricity here.

I started a switch from PfP to Octopus within a few hours of the news about PfP's demise on 7 September. The switch has appeared to go fine, and today is my first day with Octopus
according to them, and the DNO's checker.
So all seems to have gone well, although I've been warned by Octopus to watch out for a 'sorry you're leaving us' email from them, which would indicate that British Gas are trying to gain the account. After a frustrating* text exchange with BG they've promised that the transfer to Octopus will not be interfered with and they won't try to nick me back.* With I suspect quick copy/paste stock answers from them instead of reading and answering my actual question. They did read it finally.0 -

I figured that the worst that could happen is that either it didn't go ahead, and I'd remain with British Gas, or it would go ahead and I'd be pulled back to British Gas shortly afterwards - and of course maybe a bit more complexity regarding sorting out the relative proportion of who owes what to who for when etc but with regular meter readings and a minimal credit with PFP I felt okay on that front!
Sainsburys have been emailing me the occasional update and advising a start date of 3rd October and I've just phoned up British Gas to see if there is anything I (or rather they) should be doing to ensure nothing gets in the way of that switch. They said there wasn't, or rather they said that according to their system my 'sale had been lost' which I think is industry-speak for them being unable to perform the switch as intended due another supplier preventing it happening? I don't know, but I am a bit more confident now that it'll succeed so I thought it worth posting in case others that took a similar approach might want to get in touch with British Gas (0333 2029802) to check their situation, and perhaps get them to do something (or *not* do something?) should things be at risk for not concluding as desired. There was a bit of a wait (15 mins or so) but the lady I spoke was extremely helpful and positive despite the circumstances of my call!
Of course, it's not over until the fat lady sings but I can see her warming up in the wings...
Not sure of the ins and outs but it looks like if a switch is in progress then later ones can't proceed, whether they try once octopus has taken it over is yet to be seen

Looks like the best thing for me to do is just stick with British Gas and ride it out until April. If they allow payment by Cash/Cheque for the new tariff without it impacting on the price per unit or standing charge is it best to do that and just pay for your actual usage?'The journey home, is never too far...'

It is very strangely worded. I am fairly sure you will need to set up a DD, when they ask you, to get the displayed price. I think the rates are higher for quarterly payments.
