  • Hi,
I think if you cancel DD you have broken the terms of your contract, and can then be shifted to a standard tariff, check  T&Cs first.

I didn't cancel my DD and I've just checked my account and it still says the same as always.

Logging on I see they have increased my daily charge without telling me, just as they've done to YoghurtCloset. I've cancelled my dd with them, next payment would have been taken 3rd October which would have added more to the credit balance I would have had anyway.  They have surely already voided the contract as they are now declining to supply until end of next June as agreed.

I guess so! My dd was due tomorrow but I am £100 in credit and my bills are around £40. I cancelled with the agent at pfp and he advised that I won't get the £12 charge but didn't mention nothing about the standing charges increasing but agreed I should cancel the dd whilst being in credit...

I've just called them.  She said she can see the payment was not taken today but that my credit will cover what I owe.  I asked if I would be charged £12 and she said that another customer called in and this is in the process of being refunded.  I said so if I get charged £12 this can be refunded and she replied, "this is correct"

They broke the contract by going into administration and not being able to fulfill the supply of Electricity and Gas.

Haven't had a £12 charge (although my payment isn't due until next week).  They have changed the standing charge rate though.  These processes will of course be automated in the billing system.  Wonder how much chance we have to dispute our final bills with PFP, I guess we have to wait and see.  But Ofgem say you can cancel your DD.  Like others there is more than enough credit on my account to cover my final bill, so I can't see how it can be justified.

Just checked my tariff and PfP are now stating 27.03p/day up from 19.2185p/day  and unit rate up up to 12.15p/kwh from 11.57p.
No notification of the changes. My account is in credit.  Anyone know what Ofgem's stance is on this?

Go to pfpenergy.co.uk/account-login, log in (presumably you are registered) and look under My Account for tariff details.
