And yet BG sent that email on 16th September.  Most frustrating.

'Any transfers being made will still go through'. Not so!
I had transferred, had a start date (22 September) and a new account number with British Gas Evolve. Then PfP went bust, I contacted British Gas Evolve and they confirmed everything was in place and would go through, then PfP blocked the transfer. Cannot contact PfP, as the contact details they gave when blocking me just go to their statement that they have ceased trading; British Gas Evolve can't help as they get the same response (and tell me that PfP have simply blocked all transfer requests, regardless); and I do not yet have the details of the new supplier (British Gas) to transfer again.
Worried that the tariff I should have been transferring to will not exist by the time everything is sorted out.
Does anyone know if my transfer will be honoured, or if it can be backdated when British Gas finally give me my new contract details, as according to everything I have read, including here, my transfer should have gone through, it hasn't only due to PfP blocking all accounts instead of only new transfers.
I started a switch to Octopus from PFP on Sat 11th, checked this morning with Octopus who confirmed both fuels have now been accepted and my supply start date will be 28th. Also checked with British Gas who advised they will monitor my switch and not object, there's been no objections received from PFP either. By the looks of your Evolve start date, you switched before I did.
Finally got a response from British Gas Evolve, via their twitter account. They have indeed agreed to honour the original contract, regardless of how long British Gas take to provide my new contract details, just so long as I can quote the account number that I had been given.
Best news I have had since my divorce was finalised!

I switched under SoLR from PFP to Neon Reef.

I've contacted NR and they put a block/objection on any switch requests that are initiated (funny thing is they objected to my switch from NR to PFP a few months ago when I left them).
I've also contacted British Gas and spoke to someone at 16.59, the CS was able to confirm my supply was with Neon Reef and that British Gas would not attempt to take over the supply.

I didn't get it in writing though, so still fingers-crossed that they don't switch me.

I also cancelled my PFP direct debit and have been keeping an eye on my account, so far I'm still £66 in debit and they haven't applied the £12 charge.
Thanks for your post. I'm transfering to Neon Reef on 24th and I was in doubt if it's going to happen. Also expecting right mess with meter readings. I left Neon Reef on 24th of June, 3 months unbilled usage of elctricity with PfP (£180 in credit) and going back to Neon Reef. They created new account for me, so had to add it to my existing email.

I've just moved away from pfp successfully today, initiated last week.

Saw something earlier in here about switches under 28 days being blocked / rejected, so they must have done it before British gas tried to.

This would also explain why I got an email from British gas saying their switch date would be towards the end of October.

Now I just need to ensure BG don't actually try, as my new supplier has an exit fee!

Hopefully they will get blocked if they do still try...

My remaining credit will cover the final pfp bill, so that should just leave a small amount I am owed back

I didn't want a new account with a different email address, so by chance I found that when I logged in to my old Neon Reef account, there was an option to register a new account (under the User > Register Accounts menu), I was able to add the new account.
Now there is a drop-down on the Account screens where I can toggle between my old/new accounts.

I have tried to move to Neon Reef and they sent me the contract and the supply number is not mine. They are impossible to contact so I'm hoping that whoever's supply they are trying to take, successfully stops it. Of course for me, that means I've now missed my chance and will have to go with the SoLR.

I got a 'welcome to BG, here's your tariff details and TnCs' email today.  It has a Sales Order number, but no account number.  On contacting them, they say that the switch from PfP doesn't actually happen until 4 October. I want to transfer out to someone (not BG) before the 1 October price rises. Is that even possible - to cancel the transfer from to PfP-BG and initiate a new one PfP-NewCo ?  How would you go about doing that?  I only have a few quid of credit with PfP, so could probably write that off.
    TIA

You probably can't, now, as BG will block it. You'll have to wait until the transfer happens, I believe.

    That's exactly what I did.
