Well today trying to de stress had a little walk around pound shop and came out with knitting needles and some wool. Even though balls of wool were 3 for £2 only got the 1 in case I can't knit lol. Tom Daley I blame, will start diving after mastered knitting some leg warmers, perhaps I should have got more wool oops. Have been watching the diving this morning for techniques or mainly because of how fit are those guys.Bought few other household items and then went to get a stir fry to liven up the salmon tonight.Didn't sleep well last night for few reasons. My cleaning job topped my savings up to 18K and put more into bathroom tiles fund for when the invoice eventually arrives. Apparently they bill 10 mths later !!Off to try and get my budgets in place.Grateful forSunshine,Lovely shop assistant made me laughMountains of work doneLBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/225

Evening turtles, no NSD's yet this month. Yesterday I was on training at work and treated myself to an iced coffee, today I had lunch with a friend. Both things I wouldn't normally do, but I'm leaving my job in a couple of weeks so just trying to catch up with people before I go, particularly when our office is still closed and we haven't seen each other for 18 months.
I'm doing a small amount of daily journaling, which I started a couple of weeks ago so I'm prioritising that every evening, it's helping me to think more clearly and have some closure on my days.
Not much else to report. Bunny had a dental operation today, she's sleeping off the anaesthetic. Grateful to have her home, for seeing colleagues to say an informal goodbye, and cracking on with work.5 -
Evening all, had a lazy day of reading, watching TV & snoozing. My face is very swollen, but was given lots of painkillers from the hospital, so been taking them. A man repaired my son's phone which was dropped off with him last night & he drove 14 miles to deliver it, as I wasn't allowed to drive today. So had a spend day to pay for it getting fixed.
Grateful for good repair service, painkillers, ice packs, sleep, a good book & TV!Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Today I am grateful for a good walk with dh, for popping in to the local coffee shop and being impressed with their understanding of allergies and their choice of cakes, for dc continuing to enjoy themselves, for the Olympics, for the smell of fresh air.

Making my life lighter - some more random things removed form DS2's room and recycled/ binned (and some relocated to their correct places elsewhere around the house....). A small fb00k sale also made (of something of DS2's) and 3 items identified for selling
2 items returned to Tesc0. Some house admin and filing done.
Getting outside / moving - canalside walk tonight - where we saw a very strange duck that I have been unable to identify - have sent pics to WWT for help
Gratitudes - unexpectedly warm day so washing fully line dried, DS1 mowing back lawn, HMRC advising that I no longer need to file Self assessment tax returns going forward (whoop!), getting the last bit of info needed so that I could submit DH's SA tax return (and that info reduced his bill by over £50, so was worth waiting for) , sunflowers picked last Weds (I say 'picked' but actually the winds broke them, so I rescued them) still looking cheery on the kitchen table

Yesterday was NSD 1. Today I did part of a top up. But I’ll need to return to the shops tomorrow to get what wasn’t in stock.DS is away with grandparents for a few days so OH and I were able to take a rare walk together after dinner.A friend recommended a TV programme to me the other day called How to Save a Grand in 24 Hours. The couple (with 1 child) on the episode I watched spent £1000 a month on food shopping and a further £300 on takeaways! I was flabbergasted! Didn’t gain a great deal from watching it. It did however mention the good old principles of meal planning, buying reduced sticker items, cooking from scratch, visiting the shops less, DIY, etc.Grateful today for waking up to our DS’s little face peeking around our bedroom door, for porridge, for an evening walk with OH.

Evening
Spendy day today as the cats were at the vets for a health check and to get flea repellent and worm tablet. Small cat scratched me and large cat scratched the vet and i had to pay nearly £70 so it was painful all roundSmall cat is now sat purring next to me so she seems to have recovered from her trauma of being in the cat carrier and then the car and then having a worm tablet shoved down her throat.
Started tackling a frog at FT job, made some progress but not enjoying the task. Did some of my self employment this eve. Also pulled up a few weeds and picked some lettuce leaves from my tubs. Haven't moved much today.
Gratitudes - nice chat with DD2 and she's coming home for a few days; great olympics to watch; being able to WfH all this week
