A sunny day today. Walked to the village & back very slowly. The pain is receding slightly, but still feel weak & wobbly. The postie sent me a message on my return, to say I looked like I needed a hug 🤗, made me feel a bit emotional. Topped up hubby's phone & spent 43p on a lemon.
Had a nap, then did some sewing this afternoon & a bit of knitting. Finished watching the dvd, so can be donated now.
Grateful for messages from work colleagues, who'd missed me at our in service day today, message from the postie, watching all the birds on my walk. Surprised to see a Swallow in the village. Also less painUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

another small spend but saved £1 through my loyalty card. Did a couple of surveys. Sorted a few tasks for my PT job. Had nice Teams call with colleague at FT job who is now back from leave; we talked about how we both want to retire asap .....
Agree ldee - i've actually avoided watching or listening to too much news today
Gratitudes - DD1 here for company; lettuce from the garden grown from free seeds; hard exercise class on Fb

Somewhat skinter than normal for this time of the month - not helped by 2 dds (total over £300) going out for energy this month as we are switching suppliers - it will catch back up eventually! Also back to school shopping from c/ac (some of it, anyway), a new washing line (£70 - old one broke after 9 years - it does get a LOT of use!) and London spends right at the start of the month. Just means I'll have to tfr some back from savings - could be worse!
Making my life lighter - lots of things removed from ds2 and ds3s rooms - some listed on fbook sites - will take to cs if unsold. Also listed a piece of furniture I decided we don't need - again will take to cs if it doesn't sell. Just happy they have been identified as not required and there is a plan for them to leave one way or anotherToday I also plan on taking 2 bags of ragged clothes and fabric to HnM for their recycling scheme and getting 2 vouchers in exchange ... need to take DS1 clothes shopping, so am expecting to use at least one voucher straight off!
Thankful for rain this morning for the garden (even of I gave it a good watering last night...!), for the prospect of less stuff, for having savings, for h&m's scheme.I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £207 -
Feeling grateful for
- having a sports massage, my back was in knots and I feel so relaxed and stress-free this morning!
- nice coffee, found a local place that roasts their own beans and really like the latest variety we've bought
- finally getting my expense claim paid by work (actually hasn't hit my account yet but I can see it in the pending transactions)8 -
Totally wet and miserable day here, plus points keeping me away from the shops during my lunch and not having to water garden.Feeling productive got pile of rubbish jobs being putting off for ages done today in work.More spending last night on beauty products, seeing dd2 selling I couldn't say no. Anyhow no more treats this month for me, highly unlikely I can add another 1k to my savings pot this month as also got car insurance to tackle. We shall see if I can be frugal enough.Done a few more surveys today, nearly reaching cashing out target.Off to see if I can save on my car insurance.Grateful forGusto delivery, staying in and pjs tonight.Keep swimming turtles xLBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/227

Went into town with DS1 for our annual pre-uni return clothes buying trip. 3 pairs of jeans and 4 t-shirts purchased - 1 pair of jeans doesn't fit but the rest is all good. All bought at HnM or Sp0rts D1rect, so not too expensive (thankfully my kids really don't care about labels/ brands) - also used 2 x £5 off vouchers in HnM from recycling clothes with them
Thankful for getting that trip done (although a return for a jeans exchange is planned for next week), for his (DS1) new uni accommodation getting sorted, for his retainers from the dentist finally being sortedI am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £209 -
Today I am grateful for finishing the second planter with dh and finding some compost to start filling them, for blackberries and raspberries, for having a car so I could get things to the tip/charity shops, for dh scrabbling through ground-spread ivy and under a nasty low-spreading conifer in order to find dc's squishy ball, for liddle having dolly mixtures!

Evening
Very small spend on a card for DD1.
Ticked lots off my FT to do list - one day left in work before annual leave
Did quite a few tasks for PT job #1 but made very slow progress with PT job #2; outgoing person managed to help me access the emails but was a painful process. While scrolling through the emails I saw one from a late applicant for 'my' job and the outgoing person said to the Chair that it was a shame this was too late as he knew the applicant & she was more local than me. Bit peeved to see that - insensitive to have left it there for me to read and i applied in time and i'm fully qualified too (unlike her) - so there!!
Did a couple of surveys today.
Have managed to do my 10k steps again. Enjoyed watching A country life for half the price even though i grew up in the countryside and have no wish to return
Gratitudes - friend sending my DDs a voucher each for engagement and graduationDD1 trying to help sort out DD2's graduation; cosy bed now it's getting a bit chilly

A quick check in. NSD 8.
I have literally just finished work! It’s very rare for me to work to this hour, but this piece of work was important and had to be done.
Grateful that Mum came over for dinner tonight, for DS being a great sleeper, and my comfy bed.
Goodnight turtles.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸8
