Not an NSD today, so staying on 6.Took DS2 for his free eyetest, and while he was in there on his own (he can sign for himself, so I do not have to be there) I found DS3 an S&M blazer in the right size, with the school badge already sewn on (badge costs £3.50) for .... £3.50 in only the 4th c/s I went into. Looks practically unworn, which is not surprising after the last 18 months we have had. Asked in the SaversofSpecs, if we could just reuse the frames we have at home, as they are the ones he likes, and they went and asked and said - ok, nobody has asked us that before..... so a bit more plastic reused and a bit less plastic consumed. Just because the NHS will pay for a free set of frames, doesn't mean we have to take them. So saved the NHS some money too.Was home by 10.30, mended some clothes, folded masses and masses and masses of laundry, fed people a couple of times, and made scones. Used up loads of bits from the fridge.Grateful for: scones, cheap school uniform quest going well, having a cc to put my tiny spend on, making progress in the house, more tea and scones later on tonight.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Felt a bit wobbly legged this morning, did the ironing, then sat & finished my book. It was really good!
Once eldest & youngest returned from their trip to town, eldest helped me decide where to put the frog tape & which colour each triangle was to be painted. He left for work, while I did the painting. That's his room finished now. Looking forward to seeing it with his new to him lampshade & new bedding (had for 2 years in preparation!) being used.
Grateful for eldest son loving his room & saying thank you for me decorating it for him, a good book, getting more knitting done, the pain no longer running down to the nerve endings in my legsUse it up, wear it out

Evening,
An NSD for me making it 5 NSDs so far this month. Did stretch class on Fb this morning, started lots of cleaning and sorting out of cupboards, but not finished so that's a task for tomorrow. Met DD1 for a walk & she bought me a cuppa tea. Used up some veggie mince & veggie meatballs to make spag bol for tea. Added a bit of red wine which makes a big difference to the flavour. Rescued an ice cube tray from the charity bag as thinking i'm going to freeze some wine for future spag bols
Just had a nice evening walk and going to watch some TV.
gratitudes - nice walk and chat with DD1; DD2 has sent some money towards her Masters savings; relaxed evening

Offered to help DS1 put his room back in order, now the decorating is finished, but he wanted to do it himself, so I did some sewing instead. Put on a dvd bought ages ago from a chazza, a period drama series. Watched half & did some knitting. Washed 2 lots of dishes. Looking forward to a soak in the bath after everyone else's been in.
Grateful for long phonecall with a friend, another with my mum, decorating paraphernalia going back out to the garageUse it up, wear it out
