Evening
Had an unexpected free afternoon; was going to visit DD2 but she was likely working late and then working tomorrow so wouldn't have had much time with her. Felt a bit sad but plenty of other stuff to do.
Have done some of my PT job then drove part way to town and walked the rest (getting in some steps and avoiding one way systemBeen quite spendy - bought DD1 a bracelet with a heart on it (as reward for her heart procedure), also bought a tea light holder in CS and went to zero waste shop and greengrocers and Arseda for a couple of things. Bought loofah wash up sponges that can go in the dishwasher and reusable cleansing pads; also refilled on hand wash. Made myself a nice tea and enjoyed listening to R2. Just looking at budget and whether i can overpay mortgage a bit more than currently...
Gratitudes - both DDs having a nice day; having a zero waste shop and greengrocers in town; a CS bargain (might go back for cat carrier and bookcase...)
Love to all

Soil heap has been demolished - decanted into 7 x 10 l pots and 4 x 30 l pots, some planted with dwarf beans. This was because I knew the window cleaner was due and I wanted him to be able to get at the windows at the back. Two tarpaulins and one polytunnel cover are now on the line so that any remaining traces of soil will dry up and fall/ be brushed off. A small bagful of rubbish collected, added to the bin bag along with the pieces of a broken pot and that's tied up next to the bin. Started to line up shelves and panels along the fence. Not many stones - only used an 8" plant pot and filled it 3 times. A few weeds and a little pile of useful stuff (and some things I think are strawberries - woody stubs with fine roots).
Finally put a food order in - things I would have bought if I had got to Morries yesterday. Put in for a next day delivery and they had slots available today, so it's arrived and been packed away. Have added up my totals and so far have spent 154.70/ 300 on Food, 30.50/ 100 on DIY, 67.85/ 100 on miscellaneous, 18.50/ 35 on Travel and 64.07/ 100 on takeaways (only when mum requests). Have spent on 6 days, so 7 NSDs.
Gratitudes being able to get things round the corner of the house (trolley and dolly truck), lovely food (mum made evil smelling pea soup yesterday, my stomach was a bit off and you can even smell it outside the house) - bits that came with my delivery (will tackle cookery next - find my list of easy things to put together), good books and a silly puzzle game.

NSD 6 !! Hooray! Was a good and productive day today, bedding changed and laundered and dried on the line, top 2 floors blitzed and clothes drawers sorted. Made the two left in school uniform try on school uniform and now I know what sizes they are and what I need to buy in/find for free on gifting sites. How I have managed to only have one pair of trousers in DS3s size I have no idea. I mean he was wearing them 4 weeks ago!! Where have they gone? He suggested really really big moths. Well it could be one possible scenario....Dyed some clothes and they look back to new. So stuff got done today.Grateful for Dyl0n utterly painless washing machine dye pods (and free with vouchers), using up 3 ood sauce sachets for supper - to make a chinese feast with masses of veg, and being able to wake up tomorrow morning with no dishes to do, and only the ground floor to clean.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Both DS and I got our hair cut today, so staying on NSD 5.
I tidied and cleaned a couple of rooms, including floors, windows, and mirrors. It’s amazing how much lighter and brighter those rooms look now after a bit of tlc, and how it improves my mood.
Grateful for a catch up with OH’s auntie, feeling brand new after a haircut, and decaf tea.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸8 -

Grateful for eating outside with sister, for ds2 driving his auntie to a bigger town for a university supplies shopping spree, for a chat with lovely neighbors, for a day off at home - before the work/life/ds1 visits balance takes off next week.
Thanks for lovely ninja turtle hugs, they are badly needed. This week some of my goals are to not have my fridge resemble a compost heap, how to bring food for a couple of days at a time, and to plan and book budget overnight stays to limit driving. I looked at camping, but £20 for staying in a field with a chemical loo. Not happening.
So lots of MSE activity going on, but NSD is hard as not sure what each day brings :-).
So far I have bought a giant thermos, need some mini UHT milk, more freezer elements, and possibly a more efficient cooler bag, I just have a velcro Aldy one at the mo. It still lasts all day though.
Also need to do screen free sleep, starting tonight, more exercise. While it is lovely to have my sister stay a week is a long time and I feel a bit guilty to go out on runs, and she has bought wine, and while I usually only have a drink or two a week, I tend to drink what is in front of me! Not good for weight, so need to just stay healthy and clear headed. And I am now about to restart my journal, that will save all of you some of these slightly redundant considerations.
Hugs and loveliness to everybody, make sure you are kind when you have the opportunity, you might not have it later.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Phoned the headteacher to say I won't be in next week due to the pain. Felt weak & wobbly for most of the morning, but managed a coat of paint on son's chimney breast wall, ready to do the triangles now.
Sat all afternoon knitting & binge watching a series. Continued watching it at night, so the first time ever I've watched a whole series in one day! The pain was more manageable today, tried not to clench facial muscles too, which may have helped a little.
Grateful for good TV, getting lots of knitting done, nearly finishing son's bedroomUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!

Staying on NSD 5.Received our grocery delivery this morning. Then went to the shops to get DS wellies for returning to nursery, as well as a dressing gown now that his ‘morning zipper’ is too small and in the charity bag.DS wasn’t sure about the age-8 dressing gown I chose but I wanted to get a few years not a few months out of it . He does look a little like a wizard in it with the robe being down to his heels and long flapping sleeves. But I’ll do as my mum did with my too-big dressing gowns and roll up the sleeves.Grateful to OH who’s making us his Indian fakeaway for dinner, for DS being very well behaved at the shops today, and for a good drying day.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸7

Yesterday was NSD number 6, busy day at work, no lunch break but also no time for spending which is always good! I've only got one week left at work now before I start my new job, it hasn't felt real, perhaps because I rarely see my colleagues? I don't know. But looking forward to a new challenge.
Today has been a spendy day, I got my hair cut this morning, the price has gone up a bit which is annoying but super happy with it. Had loads chopped off, thought it would be good to have a new look for my new job. Also bought some more hair ties which were needed.
I was also naughty and bought a curling wand for my hair, have wanted one for years and saw one on offer for £30 on Very, now I've got shorter hair I thought why not! Have added to my account so need to remember to pay it off.
Spent most of the day cleaning and tidying, sorting the home office and just sorting out lots of little frogs. Also did 40 minutes of yoga (downloaded a really good app) and went for a walk this evening, the weather is lovely!7 -
Today I am grateful for time with my sister, for finding some bday presents for dh, for a really really good talk with another mum at dance, for making a start on my second fox sock, for how much better the lawn looks now it's mown.
