Mum and I went for blood tests (taxi paid in vouchers which were bought in April). No money spent. Intended to get the little bus to Morries but it came into the stop just as we were coming out of the infirmary and I had to phone for the taxi and get mum safely installed, so no chance of catching it. Also sorted mum's podiatry appointment (wrong date given when I phoned up). Was already limping so just came home. A small amount of work done outside.

Well done to your son @f0xh0les
NSD 5 here. Finally a survey popped up on my screen today. My first £1 on the survey site in over 2 weeks! I really hope it picks up soon. Aside from earning a little extra, I enjoy doing them.I woke up feeling quite lethargic and low this morning. I hardly did any work until 4pm when a bolt of motivation struck me. Ended up doing more in the hour than I did the rest of the day.Grateful for a second wind to get some work done, OH making dinner, and our DS. He’s growing up too quick. He was a baby just yesterday.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸6 -
... 200 ... miles later ... 200 ... more miles later - in 2 days. But with sister, loveliness. And today we took ds1 outside, they had another hug, a conversation and he looked like him for a bit. That is all we get glimpses, then he gets tired, but he's there. Learning how to navigate a wheel chair, but he liked being outside. He likes to get off the ward. He likes real food we bring, he is sitting up in a chair to eat. Small mercies.
He is there, and eventually, he will come back home and sit on my couch and watch a silly movie, and that is all I want, and yes I am that selfish. He will want more, and he will still get a lot of that, but time, time, time. And I pretty much only spent money on parking and diesel. So possibly an nsd day as sister bought bits and wine for dinner,
Ds 2 need to actually accept his uni place and enroll! Seems to be in no rush! But that's it, life happens every day in so many ways and you always have to start with just where everything is at that morning! Grateful for that. Life xx

Grateful for nice long catch-up with a friend at lunchtime which led to feeling pretty grateful about life in general right now. Also feeling grateful for an early night, already tucked up in bed with a new book and ready to zzzzzz6

Massive massive hugs coming your way @ditty1234 so glad you catch glimpses, and know that as he gets stronger, you will see more of him, more often. You are so right, it will just take time.

Sending hugs to everyone, some celebratory, some to give reassurance, to let them know they're not alone.
Still feeling carp. Youngest son came with me to do the big shop, he was quite helpful putting what I asked in the trolley, while it held me upright. Had my checkup with the dental surgeon, I ended up bursting into tears! Said I'd been in agony since my op. He was very worried about nerve damage to my tongue & lip but relieved all was ok there. The tooth the other surgeon removed was apparently very deep & that'll be why I'm so sore. He wants to see me again next week.
Met two friends for a meal, we all worked together @20 years ago. It was great to see them, though I did feel unwell. One even paid for everyone's food.
Enough hot water left in the tank for me to have a bath when I got home, so helped relax my jaw do that I could sleep. Still woke up 3 times for painkillers!
Grateful for hot bath, dentist agreeing I should have next week off work, my Popmaster t-shirt arrivingUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃
