Thank you @Buffythedebtslayer, hope bunny is doing better, & @mothernerd, you are in inspiration to us all.
The recent cluster of cases is due to a student returning home & going straight out to the pubs! Over 500 folk now isolating, with over 1000 tests done in the last 48 hours!
We've had rain all week, but looks like it might be drying up now, just in time for the holidays ☺️ wishing all those breaking up today too, a great time!
Grateful for the last day of term, a lovely card a class made me to thank me for helping their class, the excited feeling I have in my stomach of all the things I can do in the holidays, eg jobs in the garden, painting eldest son's room & seeing friends
Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Courgette or aubergine thinly sliced (lengthways) can be used if you don't have lasagne sheets.I have sent DS4 off on school journey this morning, did not hang around on the street corner for an hour to wave at the coach leaving, just said goodbye and off he went into school with his little case.....dropping his book on the way, and then his spending money (in a named envelope), I shouted out the window and he went back to get them, but honestly I swear the boy has fluff inside his head - how can you lose 2 items in just 4 short steps?? It is a talent.Today will be NSD 12 because I have less than £30 til payday in 5 days time. So it has to be really, doesn't it?4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Afternoon and happy Friday
Yesterday was DD1's birthday so i went over to her's for tea; was lovely. We video called DD2. DD1 had some lovely presents and I drove home feeling very happy.
Today has been hectic at work after a slow week. The carpet fitters came early so DD2's room is looking lovely with freshly painted walls and a new carpet; just need new blinds - they will have to wait till my self employment money comes through. Means i lost my NSD though!
Gratitudes - helpful hospital staff when i rang to sort DD1's appointment; good colleagues at work; literature group this evening

Gratitudes: another £6 off p/a into my bank account, being able to give DS3 strawberries and cream from the fridge when he got in from school as a surprise - well, it was a surprise to him, I knew they were there, he managed to miss them, a lovely shandy on the sofa, and dh made a gorgeous cauliflower curry with puri so I did not have to cook tonight.Going to read my book on the sofa with a cup of tea and have a gentle relaxing slide into the weekend. Might make scones later. Rock and Roll!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Hi turtles!
No NSD today as met a friend for lunch but we only spent £12 each. She may be relocating to another country so might not get to see her much more
Had the day off so other than being a lady who lunches I also did some more painting and went swimming. Did some job hunting, found a few things to apply for and one I need to think about a bit more. Just feeling very, very drained and underappreciated at work, and things won't improve given the financial situation. Have realised I'm getting close to burnout. Anyway, enough depressing talk, it's Friday, the sun is out, and the weekend is here!8 -
