Felt quite stressed this morning. Orkney hasn't had many covid cases compared to other areas, we are now in level 0, but news popped up this morning that 40 folk have had to go into isolation after visiting the pubs. Two colleagues were at work today, who had been out & about. I was very stressed that they might test positive, & I'm having to be so careful as hubby is on immune suppressant tablets until the weekend. They isolated in an office & took tests, which were negative, but I felt very shaky for a long time after it. The end of term meal out has now been cancelled too, which I'd been really looking forward to.
Went for a walk after school, then shortened some trousers for a customer tonight.
Grateful for the rain stopping for our walk, salt & vinegar shapes from £land (I LOVE them!!), negative tests at school
I am getting a bit nervous again, mainly as the cases go up and we have the "odd" one at work.
Glad the tests were negative XNevertheless she persisted.7 -
Another no spend day yesterday, it was a tough day, but got more done than I thought I would. Had a good look at the flower pots after all the rain. Not sure when it was I last went out really. Hoping to go to the beach for a full moon swim later. 2 more days at work.
Grateful for:

Tuesday was a mostly do nothing day. The bins went out. I checked that DS3 was doing the bins at my house. I wanted to go to my house but when I message DS3 wasn't awake (or didn't see my message until later. In the end I had a taxi to Morries, spent slightly indulgently (spent up) but I now have my puzzle book (new one is out on the 1st), had a ride round the scenic route going and coming back from the SM and it lifted my mood (I'm still spacing out 'forbidden' items and limiting what I buy but not having any means I'm obsessing about them to the exclusion of everything else). Pills came (I did find a few more of the missing ones - must have been down the side of the bed but only found them the next day).
Plodding on with doing my room and 'tidying' outside and waging war on the tree stump roots. Ended up exhausted Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and yesterday the stump roots were winning and I nearly cried. May just fill in with stones as I'm already below the 'base' level. The only reason I keep at it is that I want to put a row of wooden raised beds, not directly over the stump but in front of it and I'm worried in case there are any more 'termite' things still in the roots, which then attack the new raised beds.
It nearly rained twice yesterday and we have had some overnight, plants are refreshed but not soaked.
Grateful for easy food, beautiful salads, getting things done (not enough tidying for mum), another trayful of roots out, two more buckets of soil swept up and sifted, many stones gathered and put in place, a large bag of paperwork gone (I'm wiping out my past - only exam results and many, many basic computer courses), slowly making order out of chaos. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage6 -
Congratulations thrifty. Not sure I'm mortgage 'free' because I never had one - bought my house with savings and a bank loan. It was very basic when I got it - no bathroom, only an outdoor toilet, electrics from the 1930s, stone flags had been pulled up and a kitchen sink that had been used for mixing cement. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage4

NSD No 11
Thrifty - I'm quite concerned about the increase in cases as well. They are rising quite alarmingly here and we're already in Level 2. I don't know what can be done. Lots of people are now blatantly ignoring the the rules which don't seem to be being enforced.
The schools here broke up for summer at 1.00pm this afternoon. It looks like it's going to be a very noisy six weeks.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.5 -
@Buffythedebtslayer hugs to you and to bunny! Mine has been at the vet recently about an eye infection and may have to have her ducts flushed, it's amazing how expensive the bills can get... mine is insured but I did used to have a bunny with teeth issues that insurance wouldn't cover and the cost was astronomical every time...
NSD number 14 here. Managed to get mostly caught up at work so I can enjoy my day off tomorrow. Have been playing catch up for a month or so, it feels good to be back on top for the most part.
Went for a walk this morning and about to go for another with a friend. Won't bother with the news announcement at 6, I fear that the government may be about to adopt a "we must learn to live with Covid" approach regardless of the rising numbers. I don't know what's for the best any more, I'm glad none of this is my responsibility! OH has finally gone for his first jab after ignoring the letter for a couple of weeks (he's not anti vax at all, just hates paperwork). Silly boy.6 -
Today I am grateful for a successful meeting at work, for acquiring a pallet to dismantle, for a cheerful dd, for an evening walk, for 95% chocolate.

Had the day off work using overtime. OH and I took DS to an aquarium. Booked it a couple of weeks ago. Bought food for a packed lunch yesterday. Spent no pennies today which means today is NSD 13.I joined Prolific. Lots of surveys! I finished one and another appeared, and another, and another. I think I did about 5 and then had to force myself off it. Is it always as busy?Grateful today for a day out with OH and DS, for the rain watering my plants and giving us this gorgeous green country, and for the gripping Outlander series.

Morning lovely turtles.
NSD yesterday...whoop now 14. Rainign here again, and the weather turned yesterday evening so I don't go out for full moon. The forecast is fine for tomorrow - hoping to get out for a nice walk.
Pay day today, done some checks and balances and averted dipping into the Emergancy Fund, to pay the looming mid-year tax bill. Quite delighted with myself about that!
Gratitudes for yestrday
- lovely meditation and restorative yoga session
- shed a tear, or two..a few, letting go and grieving. Maybe.
- NSD and still have £5 in the grocery pot.
