Congratulations Thrifty_Taylor it's a lovely feeling to have finally paid off your mortgage. I would try to get DIY SOS team there if I was you.Sorry didn't post yesterday with my usual weekend catch up.Here it is not wildly exciting.Friday - spent hairdressers, top up food, and new duvet cover. Paid more this time for a duvet cover and it is so worth it slept like a baby. Had kids staying and trying to watch football with the darlings is impossible! They think they are pulling an all nighter in Grandmas!Saturday. Picnic made out early, visiting castle, pier and a park. Spent on few sweets for them and a soft drink. Parking repaid to me by my DD on Sunday, seeing as had them all weekend.Sunday - Kids went lunchtime, Water board turned up, not looking good for me with the first dig. Bit more digging on the pavement, fingers crossed the leak is there. NSD eventually. Spent rest of day washing bedding and cleaning.Monday Another NSD in the bag takes me up to NSD7/15 is it out of 15? Cancelled my health ins plan as had opticians appt Friday and dont need new glasses, plus next dentist appt is next year. £17 better off a month. Also M & S bank closed down and tf to online one, paid me £42 interest on the saving act attached to it.Started with Prolific surveys for a change.Suffering with hay fever badly yesterday and today. I want to scratch my eyes out. Hopefully we have rain tonight.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/226

I'm enjoying the sun and dry weather but hope you get some rain soon mothernerd - you're further north than me so you can keep it to yourself

Today will indeed be NSD10. I have shopped from the shed - who knew we had a tarpaulin in there (except for me) so DH did not have to buy the one he was threatening to. Also found a couple of (plant) bulbs, which must be 7 years old, in a basket on a shelf, but three still look a bit viable - now they are a science experiment. Planted out the supermarket basil plant as individual plants in a container, found lots more containers in the shed!! All 'rescued' from skips or roadsides at the 'wrong time of year' , and forgotten about, so now need to buy more compostAsked DH where would I get some strong rope - he very quickly apologised for breaking the handles off my casserole dish again - I was actually thinking I could macrame a holder for the pretty speckled blue lid, and the deeper dish, and turn it into a hanging birdbath and a bird feeder, but it did make me laugh his first thought was that he would wake up in the boot of my car, hogtied. Poor thing is breaking everything ceramic in the house in rotation it seems.Did the volunteer-y thing this afternoon. Good deed done for the day.Poor DS2 has tiger stripes right across his spine below his ribs to his hips , I nearly had a heart attack when I saw them - looks totally like self harm - turns out they are horizontal stretch marks and very common with growth spurts. Who knew?? Anyway, he is now moisturised to within an inch of his life, and answers to 'Tiger' . His first thought was to go measure himself against DS1. Brothers eh?4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Congratulations @Thrifty_Taylor on being mortgage-free. That's the dream.
Thanks @Deni_debt-free_dreamer and @f0xh0les for the Prolific info. I'll give it another go. The last time I joined was during the first lockdown and I didn't get a single survey in the 6 months I was on it. There must've been a lot of people looking for something to do/a bit of extra money, or I was too slow.
@lcc86 I've messed up my budget this month too. Watching it like a hawk so I don't go overdrawn.
Today is NSD 12. I've got a couple of things to buy in my top-up shop tomorrow (with £8 left in the grocery budget this week!)
Grateful today for the sun, a slow workday, and getting two loads of washing line dried.
Have a good evening turtles.

Today I am grateful for getting rid of some garden waste, for a good sweaty gym session, for dd enjoying school, for trying a new recipe and liking it, for pottering in the garden.

ldee - hope you get some surveys; i've done 3 today, only earned about £1.10 but all helps. Originally, I made the mistake of waiting to get an email inviting me to do a survey rather than checking throughout the day which is what i now do

Thanks for the tip @Deni_debt-free_dreamer, I've been waiting for emails, had a few this past week, but would have more chances if I looked at the site too. Has anyone had any success with Sw4gbucks?
A friend popped round after work for some Mullein I'd dug up for her, in return she gave me some Purple Basil, Horse Mint, Bunny Ears grass & a fennel plant. We laughed so much in that half an hour!
Repaired some holes in jeans after tea, a pair of my son's & a pair for a customer.
Grateful for a good day at work, sunshine, doing my yoga & lots of laughs with my friend
Hope you get some rain soon @mothernerd, though it'll make the weeds grow!Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃
