I have totally lost track of my NSDs
On the plus side the bathroom and kitchen are both looking spick and span and there seems to be so much room now that everything has a home. Even the Boy noticed yesterday. Next task is our bedroom. It doesn't involve any expense, Just a deep clean and a good old clear out.
We've mostly been using what is in the freezers and stores for dinner so they are looking quite organised now.
And I'm still off the alcohol (as is Himself) and eating healthily.
Well, must get on with my Monday jobs.
Have a lovely day, everyone. It's a beautiful sunny morning here.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.6 -

Spent all day outside on Saturday - running and then gardening, did whole front and most of the back garden. Since I plant every plant as a £3 l1dl stick and I'm in brick ready clay it takes a long time for any plant to succeed - but I now have a lovely red acer about 4 feet and a sambucus nigra out front and they are looking lovely together, with my lavnder and other goodies, so the wild rose that gifted itself years ago has been minimised drastically - not sure how to get rid completely - so happy with that. In the back I think another acer is dead, and another young one looks fairly happy. The sunflowers are getting up to 5 feet and top heavy, do I need to stalk them?
Yesterday never really happened, went for a swim, forgot a meet up w friend, so called her much later and bought her coffee, not good. Vacuumed bedroom and it really is a tip. Could do with more clearing out.
Today I'm grateful for being in a classroom by myself, not really working as I am just too tired. Watched pesky blinders all night and got up early and wrote an other part-time job application before work.

NSD today. Out early for work, had to go on a prison visit so popped in to see a friend on my way home as she lives close to the prison. Had a natter over a coffee, was so nice to just do something normal! I have really missed certain friends, can't wait to see her again. Went for a swim after work and now just relaxing waiting for dinner to cook. Tired today so hoping for a good night's sleep.7

DrCarrie- how was the exhibition?Today I am grateful for smooth car journeys, for emptying a 2-drawer filing cabinet at work and giving it to another teacher, for chats with colleagues, for the roof being watertight (esp after yesterday's heavy rainfall), for peace and quiet.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!6

Good evening turtles.Today is NSD 16. Still watching my almost-empty bank account like a hawk in case we go overdrawn. I budget based on whole weeks, so my new month doesn’t start until Monday, and then I can breath.
I had a productive day at work - perhaps because half of my colleagues were on leave and I had the peace to focus. And hopefully it’ll be the same again tomorrow. I’ll also need to do a small grocery shop for our trip to the caravan.Grateful today for a sunny Monday, for feeling awake and motivated, and for OH making dinner.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸6 -

Slept better last night thankfully, no early morning munchies either ☺️ the first proper day of the holidays (didn't count the weekend). Hubby had dialysis, so I did a yoga video, then spent all morning taking in & shortening a skirt for a customer. Took longer than I'd thought, so glad when it was finished! After dinner, I weeded half the wildlife bit behind the garage (it has lots of trees, ferns & hostas growing, amongst other things). The weeds were mostly chest height, so needed lots of muscle to pull them out!! Emptied the 5 black bags of leaf mould around the base of the plants, pleased with the result, plus it's cleared the bags out the way - win win. Weeded another border before tea. Did some knitting after doing the dishes & enjoyed watching the last two episodes of the programme about Henry VIII's wife.
Grateful for tidier spaces, clarifying that my mortgage is paid off after receiving a letter sent in error, a good bookUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!

Evening turtles
Today was very Monday-ish - couldn't logon to work PC; then couldn't get onto drive where folders are stored; boss sent me about 5 urgent tasks to do etc - felt like 2 steps forward and 3 backwards etc.... No big problems just lots of niggles.
Have eaten well after nearly bursting out of my jeans at the weekendDid exercise class on Fb this eve, really enjoyed it.
Friend dropped off chest of drawers for DD2's room that she has upcycled; paid her for materials and paid for week's exercise classes.
Gratitudes - nice chats with both DDs; helpful colleagues; great tennis match on TV!
