Evening everyone
Decorators back now we are out of isolation so they have cracked on with painting the kitchen. It is looking good and i like the no clutter look - must try not to put it all back in there when they have finished..... Had a very long lunch as went to see DD1, took her some food and hot paracetamol drink - she was a bit more cheery today. Did exercise class on Fb then had leftovers for tea.
Lost NSD as bought DD1 a few items of food to try to tempt her tastebuds.
Gratitudes - seeing DD1 smile; DD2 messaging from her UK holiday that she's having a great time; flexitime

DrCarrie - do come and join us on the chaise longue. The view is fantastic and there's no need to talk much. Just sit and be.

Slow gentle start to the day, I really didn't want to go outside. I had a text from a cousin asking if we knew anything about some cousins of our fathers - she was hoping mum might know something but I remembered more. My texting isn't great so left a message on her phone and she phoned me back straight away. Spent nearly an hour piecing together bits we knew (she did some of the family history when she was young but after 40 odd years). She has a page of info written down somewhere of things our grandmother told her.
That cheered me up a little but still reluctant to go outside - definitely thought it was going to rain but the sun burst through eventually. Sorted the washing machine after mum hand-washed the bathmat, then put it in the machine and wondered why it wouldn't spin. Had lunch then went out and had another go at the part of the garden I was doing. Can't have the little 'wall' I wanted to hide the useful but not beautiful bag containers but managed a one layer version ('wall' would have been 3 layers) which keeps the bags properly square (may be able to have my wall if I can find an alternative method of joining them). Put a funnel in the middle and 4 broccoli plants in each half metre square and watered them.
Last 25 tomato plants have gone out and also been watered. Finally cleared 3 rows of paving slabs and refilled three of the largest pots. It was 1/4 past 8 pm when I came in but feeling more hopeful about getting it the way I want it. I want this to be a more or less permanent solution so need to take time and care to get things right. Did a load of washing and mostly line dried (I had to use the dressing gown I was wearing to mop up after I'd drained the washing machine so washed that, a sheet, a pillowcase and two dresses including the painting one.
Grateful for hot flannels and feeling clean (felt grimy - soil/ dirt gets everywhere even up my nose), easy simple food, chat with cousin. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage5 -
Hello, Sorry to be have been missing, nothing to report, life is quite rubbish. Keep hoping for better. Am grateful for a conversation with mum tonight. Maybe things will change. Tho just hearing her go upstairs I doubt it.
moneywise things are grim. Had to buy new glasses and pay out for pet costs. Need to go back to the vets again. .Still trying to sort out the garden and the house, as in how to easily store my stuff/ get rid of most of it.
Sorry to be so down. I am hot, stressed and seriously fed up.
XXXNevertheless she persisted.9 -
