Sticking on NSD 6 as I bought ice creams and 24 litres of plant based milk and 6 boxes of cereal - hopefully will see me through the weekend. Early birthday present to myself of 5 bags of peat free compost ( oh how the other half live!) as I am going to be spending most of the summer at home, I might as well be peeking out from between the cornflowers with my feet in a paddling pool. I can pretend.

Ooo the site has changed.Just checkin in. Pleased to report 5 NSD'sWater board came this morning and drama continues going to start digging in a weeks time, just at the meter to start with. Hope they find leak there and don't have to dig up my lovely blockpaved drive. Bit worried the engineer asked if I have buildings cover. Praying the leak is on the pavement!Try and get a walk in tonight, last night as it was windy and pollen hell I hid indoors.Have a good day turtlesLBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/227

Tackled a huge cupboard in the spare room which was in a right guddle. Took me all morning. Discovered 2 big boxes of books in there which I had forgotten about. All neat and tidy now and I've disposed of/recycled a fair bit mainly cardboard boxes. Another big cupboard there that I'm planning to look at tomorrow.
Sausage casserole for dinner using stuff from the freezer. I must tidy that tomorrow as well although it is certainly looking emptier.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.5 -
Sending you more hugs, buffy x
Thankful for the sunshine🌞 (although not the 27 degrees 🌡for several hours in the exam hall with 150 teenage bodies in there today....!) , that DD really enjoys her job, for some unexpected work hours next week (all extra monies go to savings), for comfy flip-flops 🩴 (C1arks) and sunflowers 🌻 in the garden - they make me smile 😃I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £206 -
Evening turtles, been awol for a few days so just catching up. Hugs to all those who need them!
Been a mad few days at work, have barely got anything done on my to do list as have been caught up with other stuff, and it just keeps coming. We're all feeling pretty stressed at the moment. Just trying to get through the week.
Up to 8 NSD's. Been enjoying the sunshine, even though my hay fever has kicked off big time! I bought loads of tablets using Martin's email link a few weeks back so I'm prepared but they only do so much lol.
Think we're due rain tonight so that will cool things down.
I'm also stripping my radiator, going over it a second time to get as much off as possible. Who's silly idea was it to do this eh!6 -
Easy supper tonight of qu0rn fish(less) finger sandwiches, rotten family have decimated 16 muffins since lunchtime, I have rescued 2 for the lunchboxes tomorrow, but flippin' eck I expected 18 to do them 24 hours. Note to self - bake, then freeze. Then they came for the ice cream ...Gratitudes: alcohol free gin (not as good as gin, but does on a school night) and bitter lemon, finding a fathers' day present for DH very cheap, getting photos in the post from one of those apps where you get 50 free prints a month and only have to pay postage, and some of them are not half bad!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Yesterday I drilled holes in two flexi tubs (extra tough ones), moved a fruit tree from a basket (falling apart) into one of them, cut holes in lots of watering spikes, watered parts of the garden and distributed chicken poo pellets, dug part of the bed down to 2" below the top of the flags, moved the tub that was at the back of the bed, filled the space with stones and moved the tubbed fruit tree in. That part is going to be all tubs on stones so that I can pull them out if I need to access things in the corner. Moved lots of soil, sieved and removed stones, rubbish, weeds and twigs.
Mum asked me to do something - she 'just' wanted the chimney pot moving to where a pot was and the pot moving to where the chimney pot was. I thought they were side by side, no there were three small fruit trees in 50 l pots in between them and they all had to be 'ducked' under the handrail to sort it. Mum wanted to do something with the rockery stones so asked me to leave them out for a bit. Asked if I could put them back after tea (she hadn't done what she wanted to) as I couldn't get the bins out for collection as they were blocking the path.
Did all that and did as much sieving soil to get out bits of termite infested wood as I could, so that it could go in the green bin. Very weary, took the wood to the bin and put it out. Mum asked if I could just dig out the small rose which has re-emerged. No, I could barely stand up.
Grateful for doing as much as I did, that it is taking shape and easy food.
Today I've done lots of soil shifting (and sifting). Was going to come in for a break when the sun went behind a cloud. Much cooler so carried on but gave up shortly after it came back out. Have hauled out one of the 2 small filing cabinets and taken the deep drawer out. Both cabinets and large drawers are going behind the shed and I will grow potatoes in them. Won't be able to get round the water butt (unless I take the tap off) so need to clear things so that I can get behind the shed from this end.
Mum locked up whilst I was taking my break (before 6 pm - I am locked in before 6 pm) but I was aching so much that I had a shower and am settling in for the night (may need to order some food for delivery tomorrow or Friday but found a couple of things in my freezer).
Grateful for getting something done, having a plan of action and easy food - could barely move my arms or bend so was very grateful to find the things in the freezer. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage5 -
It is now 25 degrees in Le Shire @mothernerd , at nearly 8pm. For goodness sake!Driving to get the kids from school this afternoon was not pleasant, quite looking forward to a little bit of a thunderstorm. If it gets down this far.You are making loads of progress, and it always looks worse, right up until it looks better. I do think it is funny your mum still grounds you at 6pm though4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Today I am grateful for a successful TAGs check and challenge meeting, for ending the day with a fair lesson despite the poor kids being so hot and bothered, for much laughter with the new dep head ( she's been here over 2 months, so not really new any more!), for the rain just sneaking up and then pouring down with no great fanfare of arrival, for dh managing to find the 6 docs I'd filled in for dd's triage thingy tomorrow and saved somewhere hidden to most of mankind.

Only managed half a yoga session this morning, my leg hurt & I was finding it hard to breathe in the heat! The sun has returned to Orkney today, it has been scorching hot! Accompanied a class to see their artwork in the local gallery this afternoon, so very hot by the time we'd walked there & back. Had a nap when I got home, washed up after tea, then cut the grass, thankfully it was a bit cooler! Wanted to swear at the mower, the grass kept getting stuck in the channel to the collecting basket, so left trails of clumps where I'd cut 😠
Grateful for good songs on the radio at 9am, I had one on very loud with the windows closed, a cyclist smiled at me going in the opposite direction, so must've heard it too! A sunny day, work going well, getting the grass cutUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Wide awake at 2.30am! Too warm and I think I need a new pillow.Remaining on NSD 10. Small spends on top-up shops yesterday and it’ll be the same today (Thursday).Did Wicks-man 15 minute exercises on utube yesterday and will do the same later today at a more reasonable hour. I’ve got a few little aches in some muscles which don’t get used much but I think that’s a good sign. Doing these short exercises in the morning have made me feel a bit more alert and ready for work. And in the spirit of this month’s NST challenge, I feel happy with myself for doing it and hopefully I can make it part of my routine.I think I might be a little off on my budget. The current account is very low for this time in the month. Will closely monitor it. OH is working hard, producing great stuff, but still no £s in the bank from his new self-employment. Invoices sent, so we should have a little cash soon. Self-employment is so unsettling to me - I’ve never been without a guaranteed income.Grateful for my job, OH getting work (albeit still to receive payment from it), and DS being a great sleeper.
