Still on NSD No 7 but today's positives are:
Lost a pound and a quarter. Not a massive amount but it's a pound and a quarter nearer to my goal.
Walked to the local shopping centre (for the first time in many, many months) and handed in some clothes to the charity shop. Some still had the labels on and the others had only been worn once. I'll never wear them. Don't know why I bought them really. Hopefully the SA will make some money from them and someone will get a bargain.
Had my hair cut and coloured. I feel like a new person and Himself insisted on paying for it.
Made an appointment to have an eye test. Been putting that off so I'm glad I did it although I know it's going to be expensive.
Went into Iceland for salad things and picked up some reduced fruit for breakfast.
Started a good clean and clear out of the kitchen cupboards. That's going to take a while.
Himself feeling better.
Home made soup for dinner using the stock I made yesterday so nothing being added to the freezer.
I hope tomorrow will be as productive.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.9 -
Sending you some more hugs ((((Buffy))))

NSD #6 which means I end the week in profit, will TT it away to the savings pot.It is less than £10 but I will spend it on ice creams while we are on holiday next month.Spent far far too much time doing and folding laundry today, then popped off to do the side-volunteering-project, which means my good deed for the day is done, and the kids have their clothes back as a bonus.I am thinking of buying a paddling pool thing tomorrow - if it is staying at this heat for the foreseeable, then I need something to keep my brain from melting and my thoughts from dripping out of my ears. 21 degrees again today. Can't afford a swimming pool, but not had a paddling pool for about 6 years! So if anyone knows of a shop with a cheap one, give me a shout. Don't want to spend the £25 Mr T's shopping emporium was asking.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I don't know any locations of cheap/free paddling pools except my garage but it is very cooling to sit with your feet in water when it is ridiculously hot.
I've had a productive day; by Popmaster i had my bedding on the washing line, achieved 2 hours work, submitted an invoice for my self employment role and the decorators had been, done another coat on the kitchen and left. I had a nice catch up with my boss & i floated the idea of putting in a job evaluation claim, so he has given me some points to consider.
It won't be an NSD as i had a garden bench repaired and made into a garden chair and it is being delivered today so i have to pay for it. On the plus side, I have had the payment for one of the election counts i did in May which was over £100 which was welcome
Hugs to all turtles who are struggling at the moment

NSD 10. Just the usual wake, work, wiggle my bottom routine today.I’ve been struggling to fit walks in to my days recently, so I started a 15 minute exercise routine by the Wicks-man on YouTube. It’s a beginners one, and it was enough for me. Felt good for it and will do it again tomorrow. I’ve been fitting it in after DS goes to nursery and before I turn my attention to work.Grateful for free childcare, free exercise classes, and that DS still wants a bedtime song from me. ❤️ I love seeing his wee face go into a sleepy trance. It’s something I hope my memory clings onto forever.

Today I am grateful for lined dried washing, for sprouting seedlings, for finding WSM utube videos by the Stoltmen and Big Loz (instead of having to wait until the end of the year for it to be aired on British tv), for finally marking my y12 speaking test efforts, for a good sesh both with my counsellor and at the gym.

Hugs @Buffythedebtslayer & anyone else who needs one.
Yesterday was NSD#6
Work was up & down. A colleague gave me a pile of magazines, so spent the evening flicking through them. After looking through some house ones, I was inspired to do some tidying, got hubby to sort through a pile of seed catalogues, he threw half out ☺️ I looked through the papers on my bedside table, so cleared quite a bit of that too. Started a notebook to jot down thrifty tips for future reference.
Grateful for line dried washing, a short walk after work, tidier spaces, a good bookUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃
