Today I am grateful for my garden, for going through my old photos with dd and she thinks I was so cool back then!!!, for a walk with a good friend, for fresh bed linen, for the end of the school year being in sight.

Met DS’s grandparents at a quiet beach today. Shallow water was like a lukewarm bath so we walked along the beach with the sea up to our ankles. DS had a great time running into the small waves - getting soaked in the process. Thankfully I’d packed a change of clothes. I really enjoyed my foot spa. Haha! Actually, it felt lovely. Very relaxing.Afterward we went to grandparents’ house for lunch and to watch the England v Croatia game. My team is Scotland, but I’ll be cheering on the home nations in the Euros.Still on NSD 8. Sunday sweep of underspends: £18 food, £35 leisure, £15 transport. A not too shabby £63 into my NST account.Grateful for having a car, living within a reasonable distance to the coast, a warm sunny day, and getting to plonk my feet in the sea.

More progress outdoors. Mum wanted me to come in at 20 to 8 but I finished emptying the 1000 kg bag (all soil sieved and stones , rubbish and weeds/ roots removed). Two of the large recycled fabric containers in place (they look like they are made from recycled tyres - not flimsy). Third is ready but still hacking bits off the tree stump. Improvised 'wall' (to hide the bags) will look good but need to find an alternative 'skewer'.
Grateful for easy food (leftovers and grazing anything that needed using up), being in a no football zone and getting there slowly. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage4 -

Food delivery yesterday so no NSD.
Still eating healthily and no alcohol. Did I say Himself has joined me in the no alcohol? Think I might have. Once he's feeling better the plan is to get out walking. He has a huge bruise on his side and his back is painful. I think he must have done something to his ribs when he fell.
My plan for today is to start giving the kitchen a really good, deep clean and start tarting that up next. That shouldn't really involve too much expense. More a case of finding a place for everything and disposing of all the things that we don't need.
Must get on. Have a good day.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.6 -
Sneaking in.My boring updates still no NSD to add to my grand total of 3 NSDs this month.Friday - top up shopSaturday - gave in to sore throat and bought an ice cream.Sunday - treat of coffee and a cake, plus another milk top up shop on way home after beach walk.Felt better yesterday so had a few drinkies whilst watching Engerland play. Made up think I am only City fan who wants Sterling to stay at the club so pleased for him. Still supporting Wales as well.Trying to get focused on CV writing I seem to be avoiding it atm. Renewed my house insurance today, staying with same company as price is favourable for a change, plus with water board visiting this week to try to resolve my 2k bill. Thought if I changed building insurance now, may make matters more complicated in case I need to claim on there.Going to work on stripped down budget for the next hour, see what dd's I can do without.Grateful forSunshine and some rain this morning. No watering garden now needed.Seeing gkids in park yesterday, big hugs off them as havent seen them for 2 weeks.Fingers and toes crossed my vinyl may be fitted tonight and then my bathroom is complete.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/226

NSD 9.A very busy day at work with one of our major annual events taking place this evening. I’m glad to have upgraded to fibre broadband last week otherwise work would have been very frustrating as I was dealing with a lot of large files. Currently having a ‘break’ by sitting here in DS’s sports class and updating turtles. But I’ll be working again this evening.Grateful for fibre broadband, chocolate, and OH making dinner.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸4

NSD #5!! Not spent even a penny piece today. Good job as I only have £3 left in the budget, and about £4 in my bag in shrapnel until Wednesday . So even if I need to buy something random tomorrow, I will be in budget. Must try not to spend 90% of my budget in the first 2 days this week though. Do want some alcohol. Do want some ice lollies and ice creams. Some naughty nasty slugbeast has eaten my sunflowers. I had 6 at bedtime, sticking their little heads up, and by 6am they had all been munched. The rotten swine. Seriously unimpressed. However he left my forest of Dill, and pea shoots alone, and has not ventured toward my gherkins or green or yellow beans. Hope he gets stomach ache and regrets his life choices.Gratitudes: good laugh with my elderly gentlemen volunteers this morning, dh made me couscous halwa for pudding, rescuing the budget I nearly blew, but not quite, and of course, the football 3 x a day! - and 19 school days left until Summer hols.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Today I am grateful for some good times with the pupils, for smooth journeys here and there and back again, for finding the rasp swedish glace in tesc0 even though I had to almost climb into the freezer to reach it, for some seeds sprouting overnight (sorry f0xh0les! I read that hair placed round the base puts off slimy things so I've been using the hair dd cut off me a couple of weeks ago), for dh having extra work.

Grateful for getting back with running groups, but not for moskito bites, grateful for a WFH day and for the leaves on my fig tree finally beginning to look like leaves. Grateful for a cool evening and for my son finally getting in touch with a bit of progress on his day out to the beach with friends. It's a 2 hour drive and he's off w friends so it's nice to get the odd update - and I just did.
