apple_muncher- can we drag the naughty chaise longue outside into the sun please? I will bring some cool drinks for refreshment while I contemplate my money spending ways 😂.
ditty- hope the interview is a success- of course you can do it!
My house remains tidy, work has been busy, the sun is still shining and I have spent no money today 🎉.6 -
Pleased with myself. NSD 8 today!Still feeling under the weather, but on a positive note I’m on medication for my ear, and I’ve got an appointment with the dentist first thing tomorrow.Planning to get DS measured for new shoes tomorrow too (money set aside for this). And I’ve a couple of things to pick up for dinner. Plus I’ve offered to do some work on my usual day off. It’s laughable that I said I’d start a yoga course this week. I think I’ll put that one back in the box for another time. Maybe July.Rolling list of frugal wins in June:- NSDs 8.- cancelled TV package saving at least £34 pm- got a good deal on home insurance plus £45 cashback- taken new fibre broadband contract (£2 less than what we would be paying with current)- £23.59 cashback for online purchasesGrateful for tea in bed, Mum looking after DS on days he’s not in nursery, and having enough energy to clean kitchen after dinner.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸5

Very slow progress today. More soil moved but the longest root from the stump is now nearly 5 foot long.
Grateful for easy food, being able to move a bit, toothpaste and flexi tubs arrived. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage5 -

A good day at work. Pupils were doing the daily mile (laps around the school), I managed to jog a while lap! Thought I'd end up collapsing in a heap. Made two more taggy blankets after tea.
Grateful for acting daft with hubby before work, a good day, yoga completed & lap around schoolUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Yesterday was a spend day and today will be the same as it’s grocery delivery day. NSDs remain on 8.
The MSE newsletter on Wednesday highlighted a deal for a free smoothie from a brand which DS enjoys. Got one in my delivery. Always pleased with a freebie.
Got an emergency appointment for dentist yesterday to have my abscess looked at - it isn’t an abscess at all. Apparently it’s a blocked saliva gland. And it’ll sort itself out. Dentist did an X-ray just to check it was nothing sinister. The X-ray cost the princely sum of £3.27!
After dentist, I took DS to a shoe shop to have his feet measured and to get new shoes, but he kept saying everything was uncomfortable and he liked his current trainers. I think it was his mood rather than the trainers that we left with nowt. I’ll take him back another time. It wasn’t a completely wasted journey though - I got two of the large pyramid chocolate bars for £3 each in proudland for my Dad and OH for Father’s Day. They cost at least £4 elsewhere.
No plans for today (Saturday) so will see where the day takes us.
Grateful for a clear x-ray, forever the NHS, and a free smoothie.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸5 -
Today will be NSD ...... 3!!!Went out for a walk as DH wanted to go for a little run in his new (to him) car, so ended up at a local water feature (a run of locks to elevate boats). DS4 was god-awful so we wandered for a while then came home. Will be somewhere outsidey and flat to take in in-laws next time I am wondering what the heck to do with them. Exploring the local area - tick! It was very popular though, glad we were out and back by 12 as I can see it being ridiculous this afternoon. quack!Just cleaning and pottering and watching the football today (come on Wales!!)All food from stores. Not buying anything.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Still on NSD No7.I’ve spent ages thoroughly cleaning and decluttering the bathroom. It’s looking so much better but I keep finding bits that need attention. That’s the way of it, isn’t it.Himself is recovering very slowly and now the Boy is suffering from the after effects of his jab. He says he’s feeling exhausted. He’s been working very hard as well. I hope the roast chicken dinner tomorrow will perk them both up.
Better get on and see to dinner.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.7 -
Evening turtles. Crazy couple of days at work dealing with something really serious, worked again today and now have to go to the Old Bailey next week
this makes it sound like I've done something really bad but I promise it's for work! I won't be disappearing from MSE for nefarious reasons!
I think I'm on 6 NSD's, OH and I got a pizza today, couldn't be bothered to cook after today's slog at work. Nothing else to report. Need to catch up on life admin.6 -
Today I am grateful for a walk with dd, for finding some new-to-her books, for the weather, for swapping a 3m bamboo cane for a cabbage and a cauli plant (I think I came out better in that deal!), for the delight that is dried mango.
