Toni'sfriend - that sounds painful. Hope himself mends quickly. And hugs to all the poorly turtles out there. Be kind to yourselves and take it easy.Today I am grateful for my sweet peas, for dd having a better exam day at school, for working with lovely people, for being able to say that I used my time well at work and got things prepared, for the noise of the neighbourhood kids playing well together.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4

Wishing everyone good health &that they're feeling better soon.
@mothernerd if you do dig your way to Orkney, feel free to pop in for a cuppa - we have lovely water too, if you'd rather have something cold after all that digging!
Had my second vaccine yesterday, arm a bit tender but otherwise ok.
Grateful for a drizzly day (the plants certainly need it), a colleague asking me to go on a day trip to Scotland in the holidays to walk somewhere different, hubby washing up while I had a nap, funny jokes!Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

I have been a very bad turtle this month, I have failed to check in, I have no idea how many NSDs I have- but I do know it is a very small number and I have already over spent on almost every budget category i have 😱😱😱.
However in my defense I have sorted DDs birthday and my dads, I have finally organised my living room into a usable state (still 3 boxes piled in a corner but they are at least tidy), the rest of the house is more organised than it has been since I moved in, I now have a functioning lawnmower and respectable grass, DD has taken part in some sport events, my highest days step count this month was over 35000 steps and several frogs have been flung into a faraway pond never to be seen again.
My fresh air intake has been high, much laughter has occurred, I have helped out friends and been helped out, so if this wasn't a money saving site my success rate is maybe quite good! Due to necessity I am now a super frugal turtle until pay day rolls around again.

Hi I think I forgot to mention that I had a very informal job interview on Tuesday, so I am now a hair closer to associate hours 'with honours' as in module leader on a level 6 course in my specialism. A bit scary, but I guess it's getting what I want - can I do it?Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Always thought he looked cute until he shrieked. Afternoon turtles
Quick check in on lunch break. Last few days have been long ones at work but it's kept me out of trouble and not spending. Think I am on 5 NSD's. Today I got my rear brake discs and pads changed, £175 down but money from the car fund so not worried about it.
Trying to get frogs done in short bursts in between work.
Got a final estimated energy bill from my old provider that I'm really unclear on. I gave them a reading shortly before leaving and I was in credit, now according to their "estimate" I'm £40 in debit. Have emailed them but they take forever to get back to me. Not sure if I should just pay and then hope they refund it quickly once everything is sorted, or wait. I just don't want a marker on my credit file or anything for not paying but also don't want to give them money if they're not entitled to it!5 -
Bought a few more bits for the bathroom so not an NSD, Also had to buy some new pillows after they were destroyed by Himself's mishap the other night.
Still plodding away ridding myself of all sorts of rubbish and I'm pleased to say sticking to my eating and no alcohol plan.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.5 -
Hugs to all poorly turtles and the poorly OHs of turtles.
Hope your interview went ok Ditty?
I've finally managed a NSD. Think that's 2 so far this month. Been very busy at work but finally tackled a frog so can cross it off my list. Had a video chat with DD1 who is more cheerful but stil quite poorly with covid.
Did a really good workout on Fb last night so a bit achy today.
On leave tomorrow, have to take DD2 to her uni house now we are out of isolation.

I'm plumping up the cushions on this month's naughty chaise longue, if anyone wishes to join me (facethemusic???!?). June is running away with itself and my aim for a more simple life has been turned on its head! It's just stuff. Or rather work, exams, marking, reports, teaching myself how to teach French lit.... Lists are what is keeping me sane. As well as trying not to postpone too many tasks. But I wrote a good list for the next three days, then only went and left it at work. D'oh! So I have to pop in there early tomorrow to get it, as doing that is better in the long run than leaving it all until Monday.Today I am grateful for more tidying/recycling at work, for turning down a request to do extra on Tues (it would mean too much rushing around), for a friend popping round briefly this evening, for the gym having the aircon on nice and low, for re-realising how much lists keep me sane.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4
