Morning,
No real news. Done some very slim downed budgeting, cut food budget and added a pot for the commute...not that I ow when that will be. Will use the commute pot to give debt payment another lift, if not needed for commuting.
Gratitudes for the last couple of days (Thursday was a NSD)
- the lovely rain - felt almost tropical
- got results back for a part of my uni course 😊

Morning turtles, haven't checked in for a few days, am up to 9 NSD's. Budget is a bit out for some reason and I have less than I thought but it's all fine.
OH is away this weekend so I have the house to myself, going to try and get the radiator painted and do some more DIY while he's gone and I have peace and quiet!
Not much else to report, been so busy with work that I don't do anything in the evenings. Which makes me wonder how my budget can be out as I don't feel like I've spent anything!
Grateful for the rain cooling everything down, finally a weekend with no work and naughty house bunnies.7 -
Afternoon everyone
Still spendy here - i bought DD1 a couple more gifts then remembered that DD2 suggested we go halves on tickets for a show in autumn, so i have been a bit generous. Also bought DD1 some hayfever stuff as she's suffering at the mo. Called into carpet shop and got someone coming on Monday to measure & give a quote, still have money left in decorating budget.
Did a couple of surveys and earned nearly £8!
Today i am catching up on my PT job; i had a glass of wine last night and sent my CV to another public sector organisation who have a temporary role at 2 hours a week..... Don't really want a 4th job but as it's temporary I'll manage if i get it
Gratitudes - spending time with DD1, Dead Ringers on R4, a quiet day so i can catch up
Love Deni

NSD8 today, all food from stores, tidied the back yard, planted up all my new birthday plants, and potted on all the seedlings, moved everything to where it is going to live permanently. Sowed another load of flower seeds, put broken things in the bin that should have gone in the bin a long time ago. Fixed (bodged) what could be rescued. Lots of things are starting to flower. All nicely cleaned up and swept outside now, and the laundry dried on the line. Then I fell into the football and nothing got done except pastry making and pasty eating. Oh, and an apple and mincemeat sponge pudding magically appeared. So everyone is fed and happy, and nothing was spent. Long may it continue.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Today I am grateful for being able to do a hard exercise session, for dd going to dance to watch (still not well enough to join in, but at least she got out), for the lovely Sally Army lady letting me go in to drop off a bag even though I'd left my mask back in the car, for Monopoly, for a crafterzoom.

@Deni_debt-free_dreamer would you share who you do the surveys through please? I tried a survey site about a year ago and never actually got a survey. Eventually deleted the account but I would like to make an extra pound here and there if I can.
A wee food spend on Friday, and today was grocery delivery day. I’m still on NSD 10.DS is with grandparents this weekend so OH and I have had a good day getting our living space in order. OH cut, strimmed, and raked the grass. I decluttered, vacuumed, and dusted. Listed a few things of gtree and organised a few folders in our filing cabinet. BIG pile of papers to shred at the end of it. Then had mum over for dinner. I’ve been bragging about our Chinese fakeaway for ages, so I was very chuffed that mum said it’s the best Chinese curry she’s had in her life! Big gold star for us.Grateful for my Chinese friend who’s got a takeaway sharing cooking secrets with me 😂, mum coming for dinner and having good food and good chat, and for family.

Very busy day. I decided I would just do one little job every hour - it was 11 am before I was able to walk as far as the back door to collect my waste bin. Some hours I've just done one or two things, some hours I've done lots. Main job has been to get the bed away from both walls, retrieve all the bits that had fallen down (only partly did it last time) and put everything back, at least enough so that I had somewhere to sleep.
Have separate piles for sheets, pillowcases and bed covers (bed drawers are full of all the ones mum has stored), tool box on top of one of the metal file boxes and a craft pile (craft drawers and any random bits were put on top when I found them). Wanted to get the mattress cover off and outside so I could sponge any marks and give it a good air.
Rolled it and took it out. It hit and overturned the waste bin as I left the room. Reached for the line and it snapped - has broken before and the repair came undone. I pitched forward, the cover dipped in my pile of soil (very dry so I could shake most of it off. Decide that is a job for another day, folded it up on a chair and sat on it. Potted up 4 courgette plants and another 8 pepper plants whilst there. Brought a four foot plank back inside to lever the bed away from the walls.
Swept round, pushed the base and mattress back into the corner, reinstated the essentials, (CPAP machine, lamp, drinks and cups, 2 apples, pills, toiletries, pens, pencils, scissors, diary, address book, phone, glasses, tissues and hope to sleep for a long time. Still no rain here. Tilted the water butt to get the last dregs out

A dry day but not overly sunny. Went for a 3.6 mile walk with hubby, then spent the rest of the day in the garden. Re-weeded all the beds out the front, then planted lots of flowers we've grown from seed. A couple of ladies were walking past, they came to look over the fence when I said hello to them. Told me we had a bonnie garden ☺️ My neighbour returned lots of books she'd borrowed, so now listed on a local selling page.
Very achy when I went in, so had a quick nap then did more knitting & watched TV.
Grateful for getting lots done outside, the promise of flowers to come, a nice walk with Mr ThriftyUse it up, wear it out

ldee - like lots of MSE folk i do the Prolific surveys - i heard about them on this forum and they are great; I mostly WfH so can check a few times during the day. This year i've earned about £100 so far plus i got a JL voucher for £20 by doing an online video call. I am also a member of Swagbuck$ & ipsos but they don't seem very lucrative to me - often go through the eligibility questions and then told i'm not eligible!
Good luck
