Will they (or have they) actually put their offer in writing to anyone. I agree this is the best thing to do, but i'm sure last time I asked they said they couldnt do it.
I've been getting NTL BB(either 1 or 2 meg) for £9.99 for the last 12 months. This offer's just ran out so will br re-negotiating today.

That is a great offer. Wish I could tell them your name/number to show them as I joined yesterday for £36.99 - same package but with select pack telly (not the best)! Going to call them again today with the 30 day cooling off period threat!Being bored is so boring Im bored of it... :rotfl:0 -
Have just rang back to check a few things about the offer. Final offer I accepted is: -
4 meg BB - 12.49 (upgraded immediately)
Line rental - 11.00
Talk unlimited 24 - free
Total price is £23.49 for 12 months. I was paying that a month to BT just for phone service.
I asked about a wireless router for when I get a laptop - he said as i'd been a customer for a while I could go and buy a wireless router compatible with NTL up to the value of £100 and they would credit my account with the full amount when I send them the bill!!!!!!
The router would be mine to keep regardless.
There are no extra set-up costs and I am not tied in.
Happy bunny
(once I get my laptop;))

Oh yes! (he said in his best Churchill voice!). I asked for the offer in writing, and they sent it the next day. Perhaps I just caught them on a good day?!.

Well, I tried to change my new customer offer. Was told I cant do anything as its not been installed yet. Once installed I should ring in the 30 days to cancel it and will be told of a better offer. Will keep you posted.
Also, when I said friends had 4 meg bb and line rental for 25 quid he just laughed and said thats impossible. Wish I could give examples!!Being bored is so boring Im bored of it... :rotfl:0 -

You need to speak to the retentions department - you may have spoken to sales or c/services who might not have the powers to make these offers. Someone will post to correct me if thats wrong.A Fendi Baguette is not a sandwich.....

Hi all,
I just wanted to let you know about my experiences. I 'made that call' and got an offer from NTL (4Meg BB, TU24 and line rental). All was OK for the first 3 months, then the deal stopped and I was charged full price.
Customer services couldn't help so I had to go back via disconnections. They didn't have a problem re-instating it but made a hash of it, resulting in me being disconnected twice from my broadband this month because I effectively didn't have the service on my bill. I have therefore spent ages on the phone each time trying to sort it out. Each disconnection persons seems to apply the discounts in different ways.
I couldn't make head nor tail of last months bill and I wait to see what the next one says. I have saved lots of money but I sometimes wonder whether the hassle is worth it!CHAPS requested 10 Oct, left KE 15 Oct, finally arrived 18.00, 4th Nov0 -

Yeah, the guy I spoke to said he was both sales and retentions - but couldnt do much for me until its installed and I ring in the 30 daysBeing bored is so boring Im bored of it... :rotfl:0 -
Called NTL yesterday for my mum she was on dual sky movies she already got a discount with the family pack a few weeks ago but i quoted sky free movies or sport for 6 months and £10 joining sky. She now has been credited £103 as that is the only way they can put the discount on her account.
That was the second call the first call would not offer anything so i just rang back it just shows different people give the deals that is going.
The new retentions no is 0800 052 9403 asked for a letter did not do that but gave me the ext no and the managers name if their is a problem.
Definately make that call its worth it.
