NTL/Telewest at it again! Make the call and save some cash...

I currently have:

2MB Broadband with NTL - £25
BT Phone Line - £10
Homecall/Pipex for call charges - £5-10 per month
SKY TV - Full package - £43

Grand total: £78 a month minimum

I think the broadband speed has been upgraded to 4MB but they haven't notified me yet. I rang SKY 4 months ago and they gave me the full package for £20 but have continued to charge me £43, when I ring them they have no record of my calling 4 months ago. B'stards!

NTL are now offering their 3 for £30 package to existing customers, so I have rang them about it and, with no haggling yet, for £30 they will offer me:

1MB Broadband
Cable phone deal
Cable TV - basic package

If I remember to use 1899 on the phone then I think this is a good deal.

Remember with cable phone when using 1899 you must use the 0808 access number, and instead of being 3p per call it is 1p/min plus 3p.

I just phoned ntl as my 3 months free talk unlimited 24 was finishing.

digital base pack & telephone £22.50
talk unlimited 24 free
family pack £8.00

no hard sell offered me straight away talk unlimited 24 for 6 months & family pack for half price for 6 months but to phone in 3 months to see how i am gettiing on saving £18.00 per month.
Call retentions on 0800 052 9403 the staff are very nice. Make that call its worth it no discount on broadband as already got discount.

I just phoned them and said about the sky deal so they priced matched and I got the same deal £21.00 for 6 months !!

That's less than half price !

I gave NTL a call earlier and asked if they would match the Sky offer of 6 months free movies.
They eventually said yes and the movies are now on in my house.
The sky offer has been extended till August 31st.

I have just called ntl as have had problems with my bills past couple of months. They are all sorted now, also enquiried about offers as threatened to go to talk talk and i got offered following

family pack and talk unlimited 24 (all landline calls day and night) for £24.50 a month for 12 months

4mb unlimited broadband for £12.50 a month for 12 months.

was quite pleased with this deal as £37 a month for everything is not bad in my eyes.

They had mucked up my broadband this month same as others doing the 10mb offer and then tried to charge me £34.99 when told i wouldnt be. Called them up a couple of weeks ago and said no its all sorted and you will only have to pay us £24.99 today was told im £8 in credit so dont owe them anything!!!!

I did the honest thing and told them that was wrong and i should of owed them £24.99 this month, but they said nope nothing we can do about it, we cant take the credit off you, i said what if you charge me double next month and she said no not possible. She did thank me for my honesty so hopefully next months bills will be correct and for the next 12 months provided no changes should be ok (i wont hold my breath though )

THIS is the deal i just got , but they wouldnt budge on the 17.49 10mb broadband,, any one know is essex area can get 16mb speed

Have never been with NTL but would like to go with them for Broadband only.
What`s the best deal I could get and how do i go about it.
Is there a non 0845 number for sales inquiries.
Do they supply a modem or isn`t one needed for cable.
All help appreciated.
