After trialling the "Talk Unlimited 24" package free for 3 months
I called to say that I wouldn't be taking up their kind offer of having this service for £14/month. No problems they said, which package would I be going back to?
3-2-1 of course. Then the nice man said that I could have the Talk Weekends package for free as it is now bundled with line rental. Thanks a lot, unlimited UK landline calls from 6pm Friday until 6am Monday!
If there's anyone out there who is on the most basic NTL package, make a call and ensure that you're getting the Talk Weekends for free.....and then the window licker said to me...0 -
Hi,
NTL really do want to keep custom, I was on thier 9.99 pm BB 1MB, I was tied into a 1 year deal, when this ended the other day i asked what they can do i was offered it for another six months......
Not bad as it would have been £17.99 and i didnt want the hassle of swapping.,:beer:0 -
i just rang NTL as i have been informed that broadband and digital will not be available i our area so i was going to disconnect my analogue tv, telephone and dial up internet, and go to sky, bt line and bt broadband. within 2 minutes she had offered my normal tv family package(£26.99) half price which is £13.50. and for 12 months! so now i can go to bt for telephone and broadband and then wait for bt to do free digital channels and choose between sky tv and bt tv when it comes! bargain....spanky xx

Hey all
I currently have discounts which run out at the beginning of next month - they were promised to me for life but when I lost my job in May I rang them to make sure they'd be extended and the woman said she couldn't give me the exact same offers, so I told her I'd ring back when the offers needed renewing.
Anyway, I now have a new job and I'm not allowed to make personal calls on my desk phone. I am allowed to use my mobile at work, but dialling an 0800 number is going to cost me. I can't ring from home because NTL's disconnections dept is only open 9-5.
So the question is, how do I get this sorted without paying through the nose calling on my mobile??
Suze
PS I've just rung Orange to find out how much it would cost me to dial an 0800 number and I've been told I have to redial to speak to Customer Services and pay 25p for the privilege!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Savings & Investments, Small Biz MoneySaving and House Buying, Renting & Selling boards. I'll have to look for one :T
I don't even have to pay a 20p deposit?

Hi all,
I have been with Telewest about 8 years and now just quit my last job as I was bored and had 10p over minimum wage (ethical issue) , ok when your in the money yeah you spent but when your skint like me every penny counts, before I used to let the shop keeper keep the penny when I bought an item for a 99p and I paid with a £1 now I hold my had out, money saving.
That’s that over and done with now down to core of this post, currently I’m paying £35, for Starter TV Package, Telephone Line and 2MB Internet this is what I got when I asked for a discount was paying £42.50 they were charging me too much for internet.
I want to find the user with the cheapest Telewest package and then I want Telewest TO MATCH IT FOR ALL MSE MEMBERS.
Thanks0 -
I just pay £19.99 for 4mb broadband and currently receive for starter TV, I don't have a phone line as I use VoIP - Sipgate and VoIP Stunt. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0

I am a member of NTL customer services - can I ask you to call the correct number when looking for one of these deals - i.e. retentions on 08000529403 - they open mon - fri 9-5pm.
I dealt with a customer who came through to customer services 08454540000 demanding a talk talk offer like he has seen on the internet. I advised I can only give him the same value packs as new customers get. Customer claims he saw it all over internet. Customer knew all about retentions and I offered them their number (I can't confirm obviously such deals are available).
Customer tries to pressure me into giving him such an offer (which would cost me my job). Asks for a manager - no manager at cust services will take this as no deals are done here. Customer refused to go off the line and eventually I had to terminate the call on him. I repeatedly told customer this is not an offer that I could give.
Net effect of this is customer phoned up straight after call and reported me. Not on. He may be moneysaving when he speaks to retentions but I don't need the added pressure of having to be moneysaving when I'm jobless because someone will not call correct department. Remember you are dealing with peoples lives here and in customer services I cannot do those deals.0
