@barbiedoll thank you so much for the offer of help. I can't wait to finally be myself again and stop walking on eggshells, and feel my home is a home and not just a miserable place I live.2

I'm Bristol if I can help with anything -Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.2

You could photograph documents with your phone/tablet/camera so that you have copies.madwomanintraining said:
Great idea, but unfortunately we don't have a scanner at work.gettingtheresometime said:Have you got access to a scanner in work? If so take the documents in with you, scan them & keep the scans on a usb can be hidden, taped to the top of your drawer in work or in your purse
I know your first priority is to get away safely but you really must try to plan further ahead. He's been controlling you long enough, don't let him carry on doing so after you've left by withholding what you're entitled to.1 -
Yes you are right - I was thinking today I need to try and get my hands on some of the paperwork he has put away and try and copy it. I am afraid he will work out what I am doing and why!maman said:

you are thinking that because you know what you're plan is, just try and keep things normal when he is around and you'll be fine. I wish you had someone trustworthy nearby to help you xmadwomanintraining said:

@sammyjammy Thank you - I wish I had someone nearby to help, as it feels a very lonely journey at times.0

It will feel very lonely at times but just keep telling yourself, you are one strong woman. If you have put up with 30 years of his dictating, telling you what you can and can't do/have, you must be strong inside somewhere. Like sammyjammy has already said, you know there is a big change coming, he doesn't. Just keep 'acting' normally, time is marching on for you and running out for him. Just think of the support and encouragement you have had on here. Go girl, you can do it, DO NOT look back.madwomanintraining said:@sammyjammy Thank you - I wish I had someone nearby to help, as it feels a very lonely journey at times.

If you have a smartphone, you can download a free scanner app. If you have an iPhone, there is a scanner on Notes. It works really well.madwomanintraining said:
