I asked my local council if they could tell me who owns it and they said I’d have to speak to land registry. Is the something I have to pay for as the gov website leads me to a site in which I have to pay for?

It's three quid all done on line you get the info as a download straight away no big issue.

No harm in asking. And tbh I’m at the point of giving up and paying the god damn fine because people on this site are so rude and !!!!!!.

    IT IS NOT A FINE.

So, you would rather succumb to a scam than accept justified but robust criticism for you failure to do the research.  !.

So, I’ve found the land owners and sent an email to them.
This is probably a stupid question but I need to ask - do the land owners still have the power to cancel the parking charge even if it has gone to DCBL?

DCBL were only instructed.  The PPC can un-instruct at any time

Oh my goodness I’m being thrown round in circles. Confirmation they own the land but state they have never appointed any parking companies to issue fines and need to take up this issue with the restaurant 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

No one said it was going to be easy.  While there is no silver bullet we can give, a landowner certainly can. Your search for the silver bullet continues .......
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I would be asking the landowner if the restaurant has permission to employ a third party on the landowners land
  • Huge thanks to Beamerguy and this forums many outstanding contributors. I've used these forums to evade outrageous parking cowboys for years through the various easier methods. Having got a little concerned that the laws had changed seemingly to favor the parking companies and an LBC appearing from DCB Legal via CP plus/Nexusgroup from an incident at MOTO Services Weatherby in 2016. I had initiated SRA's and created this account to post a thread for a little tailored advise in doing so I fired off an email to MOTO CEO to complain about this undue stress in an already stressful time and in 48 hours I have a response from CEO saying he will be instructing them to cancel via MOTOs commercial manager Paul Comer.

    Big win, even bigger thanks.
My complaint letter was straightforward and the angle I took was that the mothod used to chase me for this are aggressive and frowned upon by judges when they actually come to court. (CP plus adding charges willy nilly) told them I will cease to be a regular customer until this is resolved and id hoped the resolution would be a cancellation of the charge. (I genuinely regularly stop at moto services up and down the country)

What can I do if landowners & restaurant are both denying liability?
