I don’t really want to accept this offer from them, as it will feel like I’m accepting liability.
I haven’t heard from UKPC themselves, but the restaurant seems to have. Should I go back and say can you pay UKPC directly and settle it between themselves?
Bit confusing, where did the £60 come from ..... UKPC telling them it was a final settlement ?
The sign you showed above is not a contract so why would the restaurant pay, something is not right here .... a UKPC warden saying a ticket was placed on the car yet UKPC have not replied with proof of this ..... UKPC wardens are known for fraudulent activities

Everything is on your side ... why pay anything, you must get tougher and tell the
restaurant that the sign is non compliant to issue tickets and if need to be you will join the restaurant in a court claim.
Tell UKPC, that failure to answer your SAR with the info will result in a complaint to ICO.
This also sounds good reason to report this issue to the DVLA and the BPA.

If I’m honest, it’s causing me so much stress and anxiety 😥
I will probably complain to DVLA and BPA. My other argument is that the restaurant and landowners have both stated they haven’t authorised any parking companies to issue fines. Do UKPC have authority to do this without permission?! I’m guessing not..

Is there a proper email I can contact UKPC on? It’s been 8 days since I emailed them.

What’s the waiting period for a SAR? Which I also haven’t received.

Thanks guys, I really do appreciate all your help & time! Sorry if I’m a pain in the butt.

    30 days - legally.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I can understand your frustration.  Someone is lying ....... be it the landowner or the restaurant

Whilst UKPC must have 30 days to respond to a SAR, there is no time limit to a letter asking for their authority ...... no reply will scupper them and their dodgy legal

You were right to ignore the debt collector junk .... pointless idiots

As you can read on here, UKPC are using these legals to chase up old tickets. WHY?, because covid is killing off these parking companies.

There are two DCBL letters ..... one from DCB LIMITED and the other from DCB LEGAL

If it's just the LIMITED version giving you 14 days to pay, that is just another debt crawler trash.

If it's the LEGAL version and says LETTER BEFORE CLAIM, giving you 30 days, you will need to respond ..... what have you received ?

And YES you send a SAR to UKPC to obtain the info.   It's only fair, they instructed DCBL and you can return the favour and cost UKPC time and money
Thanks, it is just the letter from limited for now. Will keep my eyes peeled for the one from Legal if it does come through. I'll get to requesting this SAR from UKPC then. Is is worth complaining to my old university too as they're landowners?
Hey Guys, me again. I complained to landowners, to which they claimed they could not cancel the ticket and that it was "out of their hands"... as a result I requested a SAR from UKPC. I have just received this response:

    "Re: Subject Access Request
Thank you for your correspondence dated 01/03/2021 requesting for the disclosure of the information that UK Parking Control Limited holds on you.

Because we have received your request by email, we must take steps to verify your identity. Please provide us with the parking charge reference number and proof of address, photo identification or the vehicle log book (V5C) to prove ownership of the vehicle. Once we have verified your identity, we will process your request and will consider the information you have provided to determine whether we can comply with your request.

We will comply with your request within one month from the date you verify your identity. If we consider the request to be completed, we can extend the time for responding to your request by a further 2 months. If an extension is needed we will let you know within one month from the date that you verify your identity.

Please note that because we have asked you to verify your identity, we are required to inform you of the following:

    1. The reasons why we have requested additional information from you (please see above);
    2. Your right to make a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office; and
    3. Your ability to seek to enforce your right of erasure through a judicial remedy

    Yours Sincerely

    Data Protection Team
    UK Parking Control Ltd"

Considering I have contacted them from the email account that is linked to my DVLA account, I'm unsure why they need proof of identification. How should I respond to this request without accepting responsibility for the original ticket? As always, thank you in advance.

How should you respond?  By doing exactly what they have asked you to do. They have no knowledge of or links to check your DVLA email account. What they are asking for is perfectly legit and quite normal. Why do you want to make this so difficult?

You have a DVLA account?   -- (a rhetorical question)
How does UKPC know what email address is linked to your DVLA account?

Send them a copy of your PCN. That surely has you name and address on it. Ask them to reply by post to that address.

Sorry I'm not trying to make this difficult, just wanted to double check that I'm not implicating myself as stated. I'm not an expert, hence the question.

    Try:
    appealmoreinfo@ukparkingcontrol.com

Why do you think that, if the restaurant wants to pay YOU some compensation of £60, that you have to pay UKPC?  No-one would, but I'd take the £60.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
