I had the Pfizer and was fine both times, husband had AZ and suffered with both. It seems so random how people are affected!

No I am in the middle of Scotland but on the east side. 30 miles roughly from Edinburgh.

That's good beanie.  I can see some areas of England being locked down again before long.

The weather is absolutely awful this morning - it's been raining most of the night and still raining.  Looks like it's in for the day.

It was lovely to see DD2 yesterday as haven't seen her for a long time.  Hopefully it won't be as long next time.  We often meet up when we go away for weekends as she has a caravan, although at the moment it's back at the dealer she bought it from as there's a problem with the axle (she only bought it just before we went into lockdown last time so hadn't been able to use it until a couple of weeks ago and someone pointed it out to her).  Fortunately it's being done under warranty - she only had a 3 month warranty but they are still going to do it because she hadn't been able to use it.

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up - sausages, egg, tomatoes, mushrooms, beans - P; S; F; 2
    L - burger & onions in wholemeal roll - HEB; S; 0.5
    D - lamb tagine with herbed couscous - P; S; F; 3.5

    HEA - milk
    HEB - wholemeal roll
Syns - low fat sausages 2; low-fat burger 0.5; flaked almonds 1.5; dried apricots 2

    Have a good day everyone.

It's a bit like your situation denise. DD1 lives a mile away so I've seen her regularly for a 'doorstep' visit throughout. Last week she even came into the back garden! 😁 DD2 lives about 30 miles away and we've not seen her since November when we met up for a meal. We could have met up for a walk midway but both she and SIL have been working throughout and so we didn't want them to use up their precious free time for what could have been a damp squib!  I promised her we'd eat out again when lockdown was lifted so need to get on to that. At this rate I'll be eating out every day! 🤣

I managed OK without any treats yesterday. I think it's to do with mindset as I'd promised myself I'd try my best to be 'good' leading up to WI.  It definitely won't be happening next Friday as we're meeting friends for a meal.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit, baked beans (F), fried egg, bacon (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
    L- JP (F), veggie chilli (P,S), pickles (S)
D- UB sweet and sour chicken (P,S), brown rice (F)
Syns- UB sauce 1.5, weekend wine!!😁

TIE Look after you and hubby.  Put SW on the back burner - health is the most important thing.  Hopefully the consultant can give some good news next week.

Do let us know how you get on with the consultant on Tuesday tie. 🤞for good news. 😊

I made beef stew for my lunch tomorrow and some for the freezer. I had carrots from last week I wanted to use up. 😋 I think it's helped me during the last 14 months (!!!!) to know we're eating healthily, stayed on plan and been a mse too. We've not been in control of much but this is one thing that's made me feel 'normal'. 😁

Absolutely agree maman.  So much has been out of our control but at least we can control what we eat and not put on loads of weight like a lot of people seem to have done.  It's been harder with not going for regular WIs but at least I can weigh at home and can keep an eye on where I am.  I am going to weigh officially on Thursday and send my weight to the new consultant as going on holiday the following week.

The lamb tagine we had for dinner was lovely - it's just a pity there was only enough for dinner today and nothing for the freezer!  Having said that I want to try and run down the outside freezer as I'd like to change it for a couple of upright ones to fit in the same cupboard.  I know they won't hold as much as the chest freezer but will be much easier to organise.  Just need to do another freezer inventory as not sure what's in there.
