Morning all,
I have left the house today in the blue jeans that I couldn’t get on a month ago. They are the same size as the black ones but by gum they were tight!, feeling quite chuffed!
A pound off this week even with the gousto box so I’m pleased.
I took a craving for chippy chips and battered sausage on Saturday night (random as chippy would not be my first choice!) so I had oven chips, tinned mushy peas and LF butcher sausages, lashings of salt and vinegar and tommy k. delish. Actually had it again last night with the leftovers.
B – granola ss milk
L – flatbread chicken tikka slices, LF sour cream and chives, loads of spinach
D – PON Tuscan chicken, poss with a baked potato or rice

Morning all! I'm jealous of all the freezer talk denise and maman - we have a built in fridge freezer that the previous owner left and well it's not great. The freezer is tiny, 3 drawers and an open bit at the top but the bottom drawer is half the size of the other 2 and has a massive crack through the front of it. It ices up so quickly and I can't unplug it to try and defrost it properly because the plugs are behind the thing 🙄 I try to have a system but most of the time I chuck things in and hope for the best. Need to try and run it down again so I can hack away at it. We have no space in our house for another one but I have just remembered that DH discovered that there is a live socket in our garage so I could always get a second freezer and put it out there if I trusted the power supply!
Another STS this week - but my clothes definitely feel looser. Like you klew, my jeans are definitely not as tight so that's a bonus and I'm running with it! First run of week 8 this morning and I can't believe I managed to run for 28 minutes non-stop. Those extra 3 minutes from last week were plaguing me all of yesterday but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. 2 more runs like that this week and then it's the final week. Can't believe I've managed to get this far!
Food wise breakfast was the usual FF greek yogurt with fruit and a boiled egg. Lunch is going to be some leftover three bean chilli I found in the freezer with some leftover cooked chicken added in and then dinner is going to be "tacos" - basically I'm cooking some taco style mince, topping it with cheese and serving with salad and some tortilla chips. Didn't really think it through when I was meal planning but hey a "mexican" filled day isn't going to do me any harm 😆

Well done on your loss klew and the NSV with the jeans! 😁
It's good to hear that your running is toning you too ruby plus I think you're getting the feel good factor from the achievement. 😊
That's a good idea to use LM sausages for meatballs coxy. I use them for stuffing balls. You could have meatballs if you like them though, either make them yourself syn free or buy the very low syn ones. Aldi's 5% are half a syn for 3 meatballs. 😊
Your reasoning sounds perfectly sensible to me denise. That gives you most time for reining in after your holiday but also shifts you to your new WI day. I think that's right. 🤔
Tomorrow, we're lucky enough to get tickets to watch our football team live. The downside is that it's at an odd time and we won't be home until about 9 p.m. DH's first thought was we'll eat out in the city centre! Kind thought but I really don't want to go off plan until after WI on Thursday. After that I'll just live with it if I'm out of target but I must try. We've decided to have a proper meal at home about 4 p.m. as a compromise. I can always have a snack later if I'm hungry.
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit (F) scrambled eggs (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- cold meat (P), veg and pickles (S)
D- baked salmon (P), mini roasts (F), cauli, broccoli, tomato, mushrooms (S)
Syns- HP sauce 11 -
Well done klew on the loss and NSV. Meant to say the other day I also had a NSV - needed some new trousers and tried a couple of places but didn't have anything with a short leg length (trouble with only being 5'!) and ended up in Next; found a pair of trousers but they only had a 10 or a 14 and no way was I even trying on a 14 so tried on the 10 and they fitted! I'm usually a 12 so I can only assume that Next are far more generous with their sizing than the cheaper shops as no way am I a 10 but it felt good!
That's brilliant ruby that you're nearly at the end of the C25K. No way I could do that - I was useless at running even when I was a child! With regard to the freezer I'd certainly be looking at getting a 2nd fridge to put in the garage. As far as I know there is only the Beko ones which are guaranteed to be OK in an outside location, which are the ones I'm looking at. My chest freezer works OK but it definitely ices up a lot more quickly than it ought to so I have to defrost it several times a year otherwise the lid won't close properly! I have to have the freezer in an outside cupboard (don't have a garage unfortunately) - I just have it in one of those plastic garden boxes with a lid and doors at the front. It's better than no having a 2nd freezer!
Seems I explained myself well enough for you to understand maman - that was exactly my thinking when I decided that's what I was going to do. I'm still undecided about what to do about returning to venue as I'm quite happy just sending my weight in every couple of months and using this thread and the SW website plus the group Facebook page, although there isn't anywhere near as much posting going on as there used to be! Will just wait and see how things pan out. I don't have to make that final decision for a while yet!

Change of plan for dinner tonight! Am going to do a salmon tray bake. Have run out of potatoes so using a tin; half a butternut squash cubed (other half cubes and being open frozen); half a celeriac (other half chipped and being frozen - can then use as chips or cubes!); last of the cherry tomatoes, a couple of leeks sliced which need using up; a yellow pepper and half a red pepper from the fridge, again need using up. This at least means we'll get a lot more Speed than just having the salmon with the tinned potatoes and some veg!

That sounds delicious for a makeshift meal denise.😋
When I started SW they asked for a target so I just picked a weight that I remembered being happy with. My real target was to be able to buy size 12 in a decent brand (at the time size 16 was getting a bit tight) ☹️. Well done on your NSV. I think you're right that Next isn't skimpy but I don't think they're known for being over generous either. Especially with trousers as they aren't forgiving like full dresses or skirts. 😊
I intend to keep going to group until I'm back in range and then get back to going every 8 weeks. I can live with paying if I have to as it's cost me very little other than the 11 months it took to get to target (£250?🤔) . It'll be interesting to see how many people have stuck to plan through lockdown. I suspect as your Facebook page is quiet people aren't sticking with it. 🤔1 -
I think that's very true maman even the ones that are doing Zoom seem to be struggling and can't wait to get back into venue! After I got in touch with the consultant about changing to Friday morning the area manager was on Facebook a couple of days ago to say they still hadn't found anyone to cover Thursday groups but if we couldn't get to any other groups which are on the opposite side of the island to where I was going (but nearer to where I actually live!) then they could join the Monday night Zoom groups!
It does concern me a bit that some people have so much trouble sticking somewhat to plan without actually being physically weighed by someone else! I'm sure I could stick with it just with this thread, or even on my own if this thread didn't exist! It's just good to have people to talk about SW with whether here or IRL.
I suspect that even if you're a bit out of target it won't take you long to get back there and then go every 8 weeks. I have to say that's my current thinking but we'll see when the time comes!

Well done to all the losers!
Wish i was in target, i really don't know why i have put on what i have put on, i have my meals what are on plan, i don't snack, don't drink and don't have chocolate 😫

It's a mystery to me why you don't lose regularly bubbs. Perhaps it'll be easier when groups open. I don't think you're over on syns and you definitely eat all the right things. 🤔1

bubbs - it definitely seems strange for you not to be losing! Only thing I can think of is your picky Saturday night tea? Maybe you're having more than you think. Perhaps look at portion size? I know you don't eat loads of carbs but you don't seem to often have HEB, maybe you need to?
