The Tuscan chicken was delicious! I was maybe a bit generous with the basil but I will know the next time, I have one portion leftover which im going to have tomorrow night, I think it will be even better after it has marinaded a while.
Excited for tonight, first spin class since October eeek. Hopefully this starting back up will boost a bit more weight loss.
My target is 11 stone, it is a long long way off and I actually think it might be too light for me but we shall see. So in the meantime I aim for number targets, like getting under a certain number on the scales. My next target is approx. 11 pounds away.
B – granola ss milk
L – flatbread, chicken tikka, lf sour cream and chives and lots of spinach
D – corned beef hash ping meal plus veg ( easier having a ping meal on a spin night as don’t eat at home)

Morning all! Well done on the NSV denise, and thanks for the running encouragement. I was never good at sports as a kid - I wasn't even allowed to do the hurdles at school because I once knocked one over and it hit a teacher 😆 so running now is kind of a big deal for me. Tuscan chicken sounds good klew, have you got a recipe?
I think maybe part of the problem with people sticking to plan during the last year has been that accountability - if you don't have to physically get on a scale in front of someone then you're not as motivated. Also as a recovering emotional eater, eating your feelings has probably played a big part for some people having to deal with something they've never encountered before. Also with life being limited so much from usual day to day activities, you might feel the need to have more "treats" to make things seem a little less mundane. Or maybe that's just me? 🤣
Think I may have overdone it a little yesterday - after going for a run in the morning, I went for a walk in the evening to get DH some milk from the shop and then did my scheduled lower body workout where I decided to up my weights this time. This meant I was in bed at 8:30 because I couldn't keep my eyes open! Woke up this morning feeling super bloated so going to try and take it easy while drinking as much water and peppermint tea as I can. Had the usual breakfast of ff greek yogurt, strawberries, blueberries and granola, lunch is some leftover roast beef from the weekend with asparagus and a fried egg and then dinner is carbonara with added mushrooms for me.
Hope everyone has a good day - DH has his second jab this afternoon so that will be a fun evening 🙄Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20171 -
Hi everyone, good morning,
Sunny and dry here atm so I went for an early run. Struggled a bit just after the 1km mark - so walked about 10 paces - then ran the remainder so 31:35 this morning.
The Tuscan chicken sounds lovely klew. I think you're right to set mini goals otherwise it can be overwhelming. Good luck at the spin class - I haven't done one in years, but remember the buzz
I have an x-ray appointment this morning - one of my fingers has a swollen joint, so doc wants to see what's what. Typical that it's not all that swollen now the appointment has come through lol!
Food today:
B - cheese and tomatoes on wm toast - HEXB/HEXA1
L - Bacon, poached egg, baked beans, mushrooms
D - Baked lemon and pepper salmon, JP, green beans - 1 syn
Snacks - apple, satsumas
Total syns planned - 1
Have a good day everyone,
Coxy

Bubbs it’s a mystery as to why you don’t loose. I know our consultant says to surprise your body my mixing foods and meals up. So Denise may have a point.
I’ve found taking the pressure off and changing my mindset has helped me focus more in a funny sort of way. I’m checking syns and keeping them in my head each day without writing things down. I’ve stayed within syns so far.....I needed to do something different as my old system was getting me nowhere.
I've booked to weigh and stay on Friday....this will be the first group I’ve been to since before lockdown. I’ve changed time too so it will be different people. I’m expecting a gain as it would not be a pretty sight if I wore the same as I wear when I weigh in at home
🤫😳😂 don’t think birthday suits are accepted as acceptable dress code in the meeting rooms we frequent 🤫😲😂
This morning I had my bacon and mushroom barm as I often do but I separated the bread and had it as 2 open sandwiches.....it felt as if I’d eaten a lot more than i usually do....but it was just the same....mind games 😂😂😂January spends - £587.581 -
Afternoon all
Thanks for the ideas, but mix what up my meals? How can i mix them up more? i am more limited than most by not eating rice/pasta etc 😏
Today i had 3 boiled eggs and 2 pears for breakfast
Just had a picky plate, with tomatoes, seafood sticks, a chicken thigh, cucumber, pickles and beetroot and a slice of crustless quiche and a bananaSealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0 -
It hadn’t clicked that you don’t eat rice or pasta Bubbs......not sure how to help....sorry.January spends - £587.580

It's really difficult to set a target klew. My target weight fits in well with one of those height/ weight charts, others use BMI or you could go for a preferred dress size. How tall are you? 🤔 I know you're doing calorie counting as well as roughly following the plan but from a SW point of view you have two HEBs which much push up the calories.
I always wear the same outfit for WI milann to try to control variables. It's leggings and a very sheer top. I suppose we'll still have to wear flip flops to stand on the scales so that's added a bit but it's the same as my last WI in December. I've got a pretty good mental note of my syns too but I still write them down. I think keeping a food diary has helped me have some structure during lockdowns. I think you're right about treats and emotional eating ruby. The overall sad news and endless lockdowns have left people needing something to look forward to.
I'd like the Tuscan chicken recipe too please coxy. It's always good to ring the changes. 😊 I know you have a variety of meals and Speed bubbs but there are a few meals I don't think you've had recently. I was thinking your HM pies or burgers or Mayflower curry? 🤔
My meals are all over the place today. We have to arrive at the football ground for 5.20 for a 6 p.m. kick off. Arrivals are staggered to stop crowds forming outside. That means leaving home about 4.30 to give time to park and walk. We'll have dinner about 3 p.m. I'm going to try and hang on until then and make that a late lunch. We'll be home at about 9 pm and if I'm hungry I''ll have a SW friendly snack. I have enough syns left for Ryvita or maybe I'll have a small JP.🤔
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit, skinny syrup, banana (F), HEB porridge, HEA milk, raspberries (S)
L/D - cottage pie (P,F,S) with cauli, broccoli, mixed cabbages (S)
Snack- tbc
Syns- ?🤔

Afternoon all, I think most of my weight on due to boredom after being on sick leave for quite a long time and being depressed so never felt like doing anything. All I managed most days was to eat 3 times a day! No wonder I put weight on.
The weather was lovely this morning so I put on a machine load and hung it out on the line before going shopping. On the way home a couple of hours later and the heavens opened - huge great spots so no chance of getting home and getting in the washing! Really annoying as think it would probably have been dry. It had stopped for a while but is now raining really hard again - think the washing is going to stay out for some time yet!
Good idea to have a late lunch maman with having to leave home mid afternoon. Enjoy the football! Surely your syns will include half a Crunchie!
Today's plan:
B - kedgeree - P; S; F
L - LO roast vegetables; low fat sausages - S; F; 2
D - mutton casserole, mash - P; S; F
HEA - milk
HEB - none planned
Syns - sausages 2
