Today I am grateful for easy food (big salad using all the leftover New Year scraps), for getting on with my jigsaw (might be able to recommence embroidery soon - I had enough light to distinguish between purple and navy for about 20 minutes), for more progress on list making and finishing off old notebooks. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage7

I have a cheap kids sporty watch @ldee2111 it counts my steps, tells me how much sleep I got, and, most impressively, tells me the weather forecast for the whole week (just need to scroll down!) and the temperature outside! I love it. It bl00t00ths to my phone. I can't forget it ( it lives on my arm) and it has encouraged me to move about more. I still forget my phone thoughWent on a walk with the kids today - they were on their bikes, I was walking, the park was so busy I was actually uncomfortable with the whole business, so we went off path just to avoid people. Mud everywhere! They had to hose their bikes down when we got home. Seemed to cheer them up though. It was freezing!NSD 5, I only need milk and coffee so will pick those up on the way to work tomorrow. Don't want to be without either of those things! and that will mean the food shop comes in way under £50 for the first week of January - the coffee will do us we into February. Filter coffee for breakfast still feels decadent, even after 18 months of doing it. Every morning it is a pleasure. The non-spent £50 in the budget will go to savings on Sunday. I will be saving on fuel not having to do the school run, but the heating bill is going to be at least double what I was expecting. Well, I suppose it IS Winter, after all.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Wednesday- another cold, frosty day, but another NSD so 5/15.
Thanks apple.
welshkitty- new business sounds exciting- can you tell us what it is or is it very niche and will identify you?
Had a bit of a sort/tidy so a few more bits added to the charity shop bag, a few things binned and lots added to the recycle bin.
Christmas decs are all back in the loft (apart from the ones I missed!- in a small pile to be added to a box next time the loft ladder is down 🤦♀️).
We have some bananas going bad so must make some muffins tomorrow to use them up.
Grateful today- DD helping me sort and tidy, a calming hour with the pony even if it was too icy to ride.

Evening allNot posted for a couple of days, mainly because I haven't been feeling great and haven't done much. Feeling better today, but still lacking motivation. I am still stuck on NSD2, due to various small spends, mainly for OH. I am really not very good at NSDs, though quite good at not spending too much overall, which is the main thing.Batch cooking today - I took a pack of mince weighing just over 500g out of the freezer, defrosted it, then made half into a shepherds pie base, and the other half into a bolognese. We had shepherds pie for dinner, and there is enough of that left for a small portion each for lunch tomorrow. The bolognese has been divided in half (each half being enough for the two of us) and frozen. Needless to say lots of veg and odds and ends from the fridge were included, particularly in the bolognese.Grateful today for a dry dog walk (little dog does not 'do' rain
), the ability to stretch ingredients to make tasty and economical meals, and the warm stove I am sitting next to.

Today I have been for a walk with DH & DC3, done a yoga session, and drank water. Unfortunately, I also stuffed my face with half a chocolate orange and some apple & pear cobbler!
I am feeling grateful for free online yoga sessions, a dry sunny day, and exciting opportunities ahead.9 -
Not a NSD today as car wouldn't start again today. Had to get a taxi to work and get someone out to look at the car after work. Battery is done so the guy is going to come out again on Friday to fit a new one. Grateful for a lovely colleague giving me a lift home, coffee, chat with my brother.

Grateful for being on Annual Leave this week, celebrating our wedding anniversary and finally managing to get on and do a 20 minute fit for fifty workout. I still cannot believe I'm fifty though and people quite often ask me if they can carry my bag up stairs for me! It's actually my kit bag for work that I'm carrying. My DH drives me to the railway station, when my shifts allow, and he always carries my bag and puts it on the train for me. The conductor came and asked me last week what station I was getting off at so that she could assist me with my bag. Many people love that bag 😉and in case anyone is wondering, I politely thank them for their offers and assure them that I can manage.10

Oof I am tired. Home teaching and learning is hard. I really hope that it will get easier. I'm finding it a struggle to teach my unmotivated classes and my very unmotivated ds, along with reassuring Y11 dd that she will be ok without exams and also doing my examiner job (starting to wonder what the point of it is - I work very hard and then the government bin it all off).
Good luck with the new business Welshkitty.
However, lots of positives - on 5nsd's now, diet going well, don't have to scrape the car and drive to work in the freezing pitch black. And I'm still getting out walking every day as well (it was pitch black and in the snow last night but I did it anyway). Now I just need to find myself some motivation for the day ahead. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
