Evening everyone
i have managed 2 x NSDs so far, did a big shop on Saturday and a couple of top up shops since and bought a birthday card for my nephew. Have sold 2 items on Bay of E so more small steps on my decluttering journey and a bit of money made.
We are all struggling with lockdown #3, DD1 works in a pre-school so is back in work everyday at the moment.
Gratitudes - DDs able to talk about their worries to me; positive couple of days at work and good feedback from boss; online support with my qualification.
Love Deni xLBM - October 2018; finally debt free on 16 March 2021

NSD 3/15 & 1500ml water. Streets are still covered in ice so I’ve not been out for a decent walk yet.
Back to work today. Managed to sleep through the night and wake naturally just before my 7am alarm - best sleep I’ve had in a while and I think it’s because I turned off my phone and read my book an hour before lights out.
DS’s nursery is closed but with OH being currently unemployed we’re not under as much pressure as lockdown 1.0 back in March. A silver lining to not having a job.
Grateful for a calm return to work, to have a job to actually return to, and a tasty homemade chow mien stir fry.

Today I am grateful for getting my online training done, for a big walk this afternoon, for dd getting out walking with a friend, for not feeling too overwhelmed by live online teaching, for leftovers making an easy tea.

NSD 3. Trying not to spend anything at all but may take out a subscription for a puzzle book I like (new one was out on Saturday but neither the weather nor my health good enough to go to town). It would be easier if it came in the post, with the current situation (I have a form because I've been thinking about it for 3 -4 months. Failed to get through to my doctor for the second day running - constantly engaged and then no one answering.
However tree has been taken down, I have wrapped many reindeer and been up the ladder a couple of times to get things off the curtain rail. Mum has decided they can all be put in the end cupboard (not usually accessible because the bedside drawers block it) so my afternoon's exercise was taking everything into mum's room, moving the drawers to the end of the bed, then going round to the far side of the bed, climbing onto and across the bed, opening the end cupboard door (the only space to stand is behind the door between the door and the wall) taking out the things that were in there and then experimenting with getting the boxes in - extra piece of wood surround at that end meant that cupboard opening is slightly less than the others so one box refused to go in. Because of the lack of space I had to lift things above my head to get them past me and to the cupboard and then start bringing them down in a controlled manner and manoeuvring them into their designated spots. Finally got the reluctant box in there by decanting it from the box and putting it away inside its shaped polystyrene box - the thickness of the cardboard box made all the difference. Put most of the previous contents back as well. Mum wants to swap some of the cushion inners over (feathers keep poking through) so the bag of cushions stayed out. I will be using some to finish off gifts and I have a couple of pillows that are twisting/ going flat. And only one Christmas tree has to go back on top of the wardrobes in my room instead of two.
More rubbish taken to the recycling bins, one bin put out for collection, four empty milk bottles put out, pills delivered, one bag of donations and a bin bag of 'work' clothes taken to the shed and I also went round the yard salting any remaining ice patches. More paperwork weeded out. Food for meals had already been cooked (leftovers from yesterday plus hard boiled eggs for me, mum is having cake and custard but I turned it down (I have carrot cake).
Today I am grateful for getting a lot done (with lots of resting in between), for things working out, for making more space, for good simple food (and carrot cake - it has to be eaten, it has December dates on it), for feeling at peace with the world. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage7 -
Online school day #1 for us. DS1 is behaving himself as his teacher has told them it is probably going to be teacher assessed A level results (so get your finger out and show us what you can actually do!) DS2 has had his first online teams lesson! Ever! Since March! So he knows what he is doing. DS3 has very little work, and DS4 has masses, we have only managed half of it. More will appear at 7am tomorrow. We are behind already, but it only went up at 2pm, due to a teacher based misunderstanding, and we had gone out for a walk because there was no school work for him, then came back at 4pm and it was there! So we have done some, but by no means all, and it will be added on to tomorrow's work pile.My to-do list is growing, and not much will get done providing sit down meals for 6 twice a day, and not being able to hoover while kids are performing online.Oh well! the news said 1 in 50 people in the country are Covid+ right now. 2% of the population. We will be going out for our exercise, and I will be food shopping hopefully once a week, but apart from that, not much else.NSD4, cashed out more money from p/a.Gratitudes: we are all well, and healthy, and happy. Candles taking the edge off a slightly chilly room, Xmas cake, silliness in the park. Kids being outsmarted by a squirrel. Not needing to set foot in a shop.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Tuesday- a spend day today, should keep us topped up for a few days though. So still on 4/15 NSDs.
The good news for today is (drum roll please) DD has a place at school starting Monday. They have accepted that I am a key worker, and as a single parent have very limited options, so a little time juggling arranged with work (as no child minder for after school) and it should all be OK!
Little else to report, but I am ridiculously grateful that sorting out a place at school was very straightforward.9 -
Still on NSD 3 as I did a food shop today. Grateful for good colleagues, a better nights sleep last night, a supportive OH.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Yesterday I felt very low and it resulted in me behaving like a teenager, and the young men being a bit overbearing.
I'm stil on NSD 4 hoping to last till Friday, but might end up going Thursday night instead for a shop.
My area is really high with C 19 and both boys go out to work, so I hope they are carefull so they don't bring anything home.
Grateful for watching the Serpent all night, I would have been better off sleeping - but I watched TV instead. Will need to do HIIT after my first lesson, and walk dog. I am day by day at the moment as I feel long term goals keep getting pushed.
Stay safe everybody and stay kind.

DrCarrie - Sorry. I think I confused you. It's my neighbour's family who are isolating not mine. Although I have no intention of going anywhere or of having anyone in our house. What is worrying is that she is a home carer and her daughter works with vulnerable adults and they've both been working over the festive period and at New Year. Hopefully, it's not been passed on but you never know.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.8
